The fact that GoonSwarm managed to snatch up and hold an entire region from one of the most powerful alliances in the game and cost them billions upon billions in damage all on a whim is an accomplishment in and of itself. Really, the only thing that held us back was the lack of dread fleet that we could use at will. Had we had that, the region would've been ours within a week. I'll still leave the rest of you to think what you want though. ----------------------------------------------------------- The winners of EVE have spoken. I'm assuming you've never checked local or seen the various threads on these forums regarding the large amounts of trash talk GS is notorious for. I can't stand the two-faced nature of GoonSwarm; if you get attacked the enemy is a bully for attacking newbies, and when you kill something you're an unstoppable swarm, and either way the enemy gets trash talked by a swarm of barely coherent pilots in local. You lost a system, that's a failure: literally. You failed to keep the system, after grabbing it during its weakest point, and lost it even with the assistance of all of your hired goons. By the way, while on the topic of hired goons, how can you claim you didn't "field a capital fleet"? You didn't have any of your own, but you certainly "fielded" a bunch of them from groups like SMASH. (and don't try to argue away my post just by calling me an alt, it's getting tiring wasting bandwidth on those posts.) At this point the forums are getting vastly over-saturated with GS posts, and in a way I regret responding in the first place, but I'll do it one more time. You're right that we have (too many) people who trashtalk in-game and on the forums. But generally we don't discount the accomplishments of others as much as we may inflate our own. That someone who wasn't even participating in the struggle in Cloud Ring comes in and calls it an 'utter failure' is a bit much, in my opinion, particularly since the interpretation of it is ultimately up to us. Sure, we lost ships and assets, but that happens in any PVP. We generally had a good time in the process, and for most of us, that's what matters.

D2 actually funded the whole XZH campaign for us with their uber leet dreads loots and we made our frigates at cost as well. I'm not sure where you get your figure. XZH was fun and a whole new experience for many of us, most of the corp actually agreed it was quite a success. dbp

I guess everyone forgot that at the onset of all of this, there were 5 alliances against us. And when they couldn't force us out, they figured they would just buy the system because that's what this game is all about, ISK right? The majority of our help came at the end, put all into one massive op to try to take back the system . . and then the node crapped itself. I'm not saying we would have necessarily won, but I do wish it had a chance to pan out. The only thing left we have to do is wardec the Gallente Empire, because all the other ones are * anyways.

BoB is the uber-guild of Eve, no one thinks we can take them down, or that fighting them will be a walk in the park. They had to buy it out from under us, meanwhile attempting to sell out some of their allies to end the war faster. D2 and friends are a paper tiger, and if the rest of Eve had one sack between the lot of them they'd roll over D2 and take their space they're so obviously incapable of adequately defending. Problem is, when someone at war with a major power sees the major power go after someone else they don't think "hey opportunity to invade" they think "Oh God now I can carebear" and everyone sits in their quiet little area of space, and maybe sends a ganksquad or two. GS gave you what you always wish for but are too afraid to start yourselves. War. The one man you think destroyed GS has infact opened our eyes to the fact that we're not like every other Corp in the game. We're now starting to act like it. You guys might want to try it, it's pretty damned fun.

The rest of your great last assault ( in typical crudity called "final solution" by your "Dear Leader" ) never really happened. The "has-been alliance" and "paper tiger" D2 has beaten you in terms of military, finances and logistics. Just accept it. Nah. Just keep repeating it though. We were never really threatened by D2. We're still not. Hell.. isn't this a thread about us declaring war on almost everyone who practices daily (look how HUGE my electronic-p... is!) flogging of the general EVEO population? Things are just getting started.
