Yesterday I had a case where it was a close range inty against my hawk. He dropped a can to be looted to iniate pvp, but when I too from it he suddenly didn't want to fight.
This got me wondering how AF are against inty's in a 1v1. Consider the the AF has no web.
The int has to rely on it speed to avoid fire (however not so for hawk with precision missiles they will hit), an AF will have to rely on its resitance they are generally better tanked to.

No.
Depends on types. A longe range inty beats everytime a short range Assault Frig.
And every Inty beats an Assault frig that has not fitted a Webber (Retribution, Enyo most times)

wrong.
an inty pilot will do 2 things upon seeing an AF:
1 - run
2 - fight
in case 1 the AF will not have enough speed to catch it, thus it will lose it's prey, but if you consider retreat as a victory, then the AF wins here.
in case 2, things are not that predictable. I've seen claws killing Afrigs, and even I once fought a claw in my ishkur, and won by a small margin (took my ishkur into 60% structure or so).
so, an Afrig will not win over an inty all the time.

few days ago I fought a crow in a jababond.
I must say that too bad I couldn't web him, but the fact that I passive tanked the ship for over 10 minutes was interesting.
I ended up running in the end btw -------

Claw is the most likely inty to beat an AF, but tbh AFs are very slow and predictable and a good inty pilot will rarely find themselves in trouble with one.

AFs have great resistances, I'd just be worried about breaking the AF's tank, since it takes a lot to catch a skilled 'ceptor pilot, especially one with a microwarp.
