i assume copying the blueprint lets you create identical ships to the original blueprint. Is that so? im a noob pilot here and looted my first WORM blueprint last night. when i right click the BP theres a copy option. my idea is to copy and build several ships and sell them....is there a cap on how many times you can copy a BP? i noticed at one station its quite cheap and quick to do.

If the copy has infinite license, you can make copies. If it doesnt, you cant. Faction prints are blue print copies so you dont have infinite license. Therefore you cant make copies.

BPOs allow you to bulid straight from them indefinately so there is no need to copy them.
If you are refereing to a BPC then you cannot copy a blue print copy as it is, a copy.
They only have so many "licenced" runs and will run out meaning you need ot purchase another one.

ahh...kk thanks. i will have to check when i get home. i dont remember noticing if it was an original or a copy? all i remember is its from a gurrista so im assuming must be factional (1 use copy)?

Well, there is such a thing as an infinite license copy. Aside from that CCP made all those go away, they were still copies and could therefore not be copied themselves.
Gotta be an original to copy them.

You cant copy now, But will revese engineering allow you to take a 1 run bpc and make several 1 runs from reverse engineering it?

Im sorry but i know for a fact of two Succubus BPOs / BPCs(with infinite runs)
I won't reveal who has them as im not a tell-tale and not going to ruin their main source of income.

1. Knowing for a fact means nothing without proof. In this case, a screenshot would be nice.
2. Telling "someone" has an item that shouldn't exist but appearently does, is worse than telling names. Now you either imply that someone "close" to you has said prints or that you are just a liar (hence the need of evidence) which makes you look bad...
And PLEASE, if you are to post something like this, at least check up on it being a BPO or unlimited BPC. Major difference...

Yeah ... if someone has an unlimited faction BP ... unless they have wrangeld themselves into true power or something, they shouldn't have it
