Am interested in getting into the manufacturing side of the game, and am after a little advice. what would be a safe item to produce to generate a regular starting income, am not after trade secrets or anything like that. i was thinking along the lines of missiles or shields, everyone needs them to begin with :) just don't want to waste time and effort.
thanks |

Ammo. Just run the numbers, and check the price history before making it. If you're trying to sell Carbonized Lead S, you'll probably be waiting a long time. But phased plasma S will generally sell. |

Find you a system that has a good level 4 combat agent that has a large number of players with Ravens/CN Ravens and sell cruise missiles there. Or find a high sec system that borders an active low sec region and sell projectile ammo there. |

If you fly in Caldari-space, or anywhere crowded with Caldari ships, building and selling Bloodclaw Light Missiles can give you some quick, easy ISK. They cost about 2.5 ISK at most to produce, and I can sell mine for 8.11 ISK where I fly. That's 5.61 ISK gained per missile sold. |

In general tech 1 things many people use like:
* Ammo, including scripts, mining crystals, etc. (bomb BPO are too expensive to start with). * Drones. * Rigs. * Salvagers, tractor beams, code breakers, analyzers, strip miners, probes, probe launchers, etc. * Shuttles.
There is a lot of tech 1 that people use all the time and don't give it a second thought. I didn't even list the ones I manufacture |

But the bpcs are relatively cheap, I think I bought some highly researched ones for 200k isk for max runs. |

I wouldn't advise trying to manufacture and sell bombs for profit, unless you are actually doing it in Null. |

Yes ammo and missiles are your safest bet. There's always a lof of demand and there's a lot of mission hubs in EVE space. Things like cap boosters, industrials and shuttles are also a good bet as mission people buy them as well. |

It's a good margin, but the volume doesn't help. at around 3.5 minutes per batch of 100 (researched), you'll make 600 isk per 3.5 minutes. That's around 171 isk a minute, per production line.
Now, if you get onto something bigger, say phased plasma L, you can get a 20isk margin without too much trouble. it's only a 15% margin, rather than the 75% of the bloodclaw missiles, but you'll have a profit of 2000 isk per 3.5 minutes, per production line.
Of course, the investment is far higher., as are transport costs. you'll need to move millions of units of trit.
