A day may come when the courage of our soldiers fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of Tau Cetis comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight!! By all that you hold dear on this good galaxy, I bid you stand, Men of the North!!!
Frederik, before the battle of H-W planet 9 moon 4 (or was it?)
Yesterday a large fleet enemy fleet composed mainly of Morsus Mihi, Razor and Guard attacked a TCF PoS is H-W, 9 of Morsus Mihi dreadnought supported by 4 carriers engaged our PoS at about 22:00 eve time. 6 of our dreadnought supported by 5 carriers jumped in system and proceeded to attack the enemy fleet with an enemy gang of 150+ enemies in local, whilst our fleet of 100 was located in the next system D7-. Their heavy support warped on the PoS to support the dreadnoughts, our fleet jumped in system. Both were slaughtered by the lag. Our gang dropped from 100 to 50 after the jump, half of the lagged out got killed at the gate without even loading their overview, at the same time our PoS happily shot down quite a few lagged out enemy battleships.
Once the dust had settled after 50 minutes of raging battle, our PoS was safe and the loot was ours. Both fleet suffered heavy damages. Over 20 battleships or heavy t2 ships destroyed for each fleet. 7 Morsus Mihi dreadnoughts down and 6 TCF dreadnoughts sunk.
To our knowledge this was the most violent battle ever in eve, with 13 dreadnoughts destroyed and countless support ships. The lag took away the fun from a lot of people in both fleet, many were those who didn't had a chance to activate a single mod or see a single enemy on their overview, but so much destruction in such a short time is still quite an achievement, and this battle will probably be remembered for a long by all those that took part in it.
Here's a short summary of what happened so far in the TCF campaign in Tribute. Saturday TCF came in H-W with a 180 ship fleet, 20 capital ship and proceeded to put all the PoS in the system in reinforced mode before downtime, and 3 other PoS in D7- in the afternoon, as well as finishing off a H-W pos in the afternoon.
For the next 4 days TCF kept on hammering Morsus PoS each day, destroying 4 of them puting 9 in renforeced mode, removing the Morsus sovereignty over D7- and H-W several time, as well as capturing and recapturing stations daily.
TCF was supposed to get sovereignty over H-W thursday, and in order to prevent this Morsus had planned to counterstrike ... you know the rest.

Somes days you feel big when you attack cruisser class vessel in you'r battle ship class vessel
Somes days you feel really tiny when you are in a cruiser and see the behemoth fighting together, when you see the battle raging, the capital ship goes down like battleship.
Yesterday was one of this days, yesterday H-W was a bloody (laggy) system.

Saddly that was mainly lag fest.. and we lost a large part of our ships only with the jump from D7 to W-H : CCP spoiled the fun .
But for those who could fight i think it was a good and very exciting battle for each side with the best spirit without any smack. Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum. |

Wicked brawl yesterday. Nice show by you guys. Hope it goes on like this for months. I disagree on the numbers abit though. When it came to BS you are down by a long margin.
Oh and to everyone complaining about the lag. You should have been in a dread at the TCF pos. Sucks to see your DN die slowly while your repper refuses to activate.
I think I speak for everyone when I say we're glad you put yourself on the agenda as the next fight after goons in Cloud Ring. Nothing better than a bigass fight next door to where you live.

Strong patriotic will, hard work and cohesion power are our values during this battle.

As our leader put in then, there come a point where you don't "win" a battle anymore, you only lose less than the enemy.
The lag wrecked havoc for both sides, with players having touble activating their modules (almost 2 minutes to switch from Auroras to Gleams), difficulties loading overviews, and, most of all, the main TCF fleet having major problems to enter the system. The local in H-W showed 190 (+-30TCF and 190 Morsus/CDC/Razor) before the 90-100 man fleet tried to enter the system, and never went above 215, because most players were either freezed on both sides of the gate, or disconnected and unable to relog. The result was awful: We gave the Morsus fleet a "shoot fish in a barrel" party at the gate and TCF units were able to warp to attack the dreads only in singletons.
Most violent battle to date, indeed, with both sides losing well over 15 bilions worth of ships/modules, but our offensive, and that meat-grinder of a battle, proved that the Federation is the second most powerfull entity of the North.
I foresee interesting times coming for us and this region.

Hi,
This was definitively a huge mass drop in system, both side losing almost equal number of dreadly ships. Sadly lag was huge. Only a few pilots were really able to have a sight on this fight, and even fewer were able to have an active role (ship modules not being activated).
This fight was probably the most impressive of a series of what i'd call a sovreignty war that started one week ago. Yet TCF and allies removed several POS and lost none. This fight was to our knowledge the first capital ship attack on one of our POS.
Concerning isk loss, generally admitted rule is that you PvP only with what you can afford to lose. I guess that both party had fun and will keep in mind images of such rare fight before anything else.
Thx for the smackless fights.

Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 19:37 Emergencies procedures were activated, the supreme commander of Tau Ceti fleets was waked up. Decisions were made, new commanders were called in as the old ones were preparing themselves for an endless night. The stalemate went on.
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:00 Cyno fields appeared in H-W. Several scouts remaining in that system jumped to detail what was probably the second step of the enemy. Having large forces of Tau Ceti blockaded, the commanders of the enemy fleet decided to bring capital ships into the system. The plan was simple and battles are won by simple, efficient, decisions. The enemy fleet will hold the blockade and the dreadnoughts and carriers will destroy the defenses of the large war stations of Tau Ceti in the central system of H-W. This was a good plan.
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:06 The Tau Ceti supreme commander was thinking. Letting the Morsus-Mihi coalition attack freely his stations could be allowed. There were a lot of stations and they could protect themselves for a few days. àitÆs was a bad signal to give. You donÆt win war by reacting but by forcing the other to react. Deep in the war stations, little grey people were awoken. Other cyno fields begun to appear in H-W. His plan was also simple.
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:13 Cyno fields are not really discreet and humble things. After all, you donÆt move billons of tons of Behemoths warships with a candle. The Cyno fields were seen by the enemy. The commanders of the Morsus-Mihi coalition understood the gamble offered to them. They took it. Watching their Capital Ships aligning to their war station target on the planet 9 moon 4, they knew they will be no way back. 9 dreadnoughts and 5 carriers of the coalition jumped to the Tau Ceti war station.
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:17 The Capital Ships of the coalition have now engaged the war station which is shaking under the assault and fires back with all his power. Not far from there 6 dreadnoughts and 4 carriers of Tau Ceti federation are aligning, along them are all the ships large or small that could be launched from the other war stations of the federation in that system. They jump in to save their station.
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:19 Hell in space. H-W system, Planet 9, Moon 4. More than 20 capital ships are fighting each other. They are not made to fight that wayànot at all. Empire State Buildings donÆt shoot at each other, but here and now they do and Empire State Buildings dies.
The two fleets are still stalemating each other at the D7-H.W gateàbut no plan of battle ever resist the first contact nor do they now. As Behemoths are pounding each other, the war station throw his weight into the battle. The Morsus-Mihi commanders take a new gamble, the enemy fleet align to the Planet 9, Moon 4. All small and middle ships are given a mission, to hold the HW-D7 gate as the battleships are going to attack the capital ships of Tau Ceti.
The Morsus-Mihi Coalition battleship fleet jump towards his Capital Ships. Seconds after, the Tau ceti fleet jump into H-W.

The battle of the dreads
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 19:11
Since his surprise attack on Tribute 6 days ago, The Tau Ceti Corporation and his allies have fought well. In a few hours, the dozens war station anchored in the region systems will bring the sovereignty to the warriors. As usual since the campaignÆs beginning, a large fleet composed of more than 100 ships, the vast majority of them reinforced battleships was holding guard in the neighborhood of the H-W star. As usual in time of war, the enemy was nearby but intelligence was sparse and their fighters were smart and not easily discovered. This was a warning signal for the Tau Ceti Commanders. After days of continuous fighting and territory gains, a sense of pride has emerged between the members of the fleet, so did the Commandersàthey didnÆt see the signal. The commanders of the Tau Ceti fleet moved their forces from the central system of H-W in the nearby system of D7 where several large war stations could be attacked by the enemy.
The enemy appeared àin H-W. Since the beginning of the war, scouts were used to details every ships in the enemy formation. What was detailed now was, by far, the largest enemy fleet to have entered the system. Dozens and dozens of Battleships, Interceptor, Interdictor and support were slowly appearing on their scanners. Morsus-Mihi, the proud owners of the Tribute quadrant, has been activating old friendship ties. Guards, Razor and CDC have responded to the call of their ally and entered the battlefield. The enemy war fleet took position on the gate from D7 to H-W.
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 19:30 As more and more of Tau ceti fighters were woken up in the central war stations of H-W, the commanders of the fleet were facing a dilemma. Their forces were not strong enough to easily brake the blockade on the other side of the H-W gate and a good deal of those forces were now awaken in H-W, far from them. Pondering options, the commanders waited.
In H-W, the still sleepy fighters of TCF were getting impatient. So many friends died in the last few days, so few hours to mourn or even sleep or eat. The scouts screamedàthe blockade on the gate to D7 was moving. Buttons were pressed, emergencies warp were activated, the TCF fighters jumped into D7 to rejoin their comrades. It was a mistake. As soon as the last warp to D7 was activated, the enemy fleet jumped on the gateàthe scouts reported several Interdictor bubbles exploding around the massive constructionàand more reinforcement coming and joining that already impossibly large enemy fleet.
Regrouping in D7, the TCF fleet was trapped, there was no more way into H-W. A desperate push trough the gate will bring enormous losses and more importantly a large risk of losing the battleground. Since the beginning of time, most of the battles have been won before the first fights took place. TCF commanders now knew something that they didnÆt a few moments before, the first steps of a massive battle have been walked and they were not the one walking. They had underestimated the enemy and were stalemated. It was deadlyà.for them in the first place.

Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:19 Universe is a large thing but, surprisingly, a delicate one too. Hundreds of simultaneous warps have a rare tendency to disturb the integrity of the space fabric. The H-W space time fabric is now under tremendous stress and traces of Large Agglomerate Gravel (the ôgravelö effect) are appearing. The universe collapses. The battle goes on
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:22 Surprised by the gravel effect, the Tau Ceti fleet at the D7 Gate and the Morsus-Mihi Coalition Fleet at the Planet 9 are taking tremendous losses. Carcasses of battleships, cruisers, high tech frigate are littering the system above a floor of death corpses. Deaths are a good thing for the universe, the space fabric stop throwing out and ease herself.
The remains of the Tau ceti fleet has yet to warp to his Capital Ships. The Morsus-Mihi coalition fleet does not. Dozens of Capital Ships of the enemy coalition appears in Hell and ask they shares of blood and tears Tau Ceti Behemots have to pay. Screaming in flames, few will survive. In Hell, the scanners register now incoming vessels, they assign them a blue color. The color universally chosen for friends. More blue dots appear.
The Tau Ceti war Station now see more clearly and concentrate his fire on the enemy battleships. For the first time since hours, the Tau Ceti fleet sees their targets and rush to the coalition Behemoths. Both sides are suffering; the butcherÆs bill takes new height. The tide of war turns. Having to endure the constant pounding of the war station, The Morsus-Mihi Coalition warps out, having no other choice than leaving his priceless war elephants at the mercy of the enemy. War is not a fair game. For the thousands of fighters inhabiting the Morsus-Mihi coalition Capital ships, fair or game werenÆt words they could hear anymore, they were fighting against a new hellàalone. And they were holding.
The tide of war began to turnàagain. The full remaining force of the Morsus-Mihi coalition jumps into hell, a second time. Tau Ceti fighters receive a flash order, concentrate fire on the Behemoths. They execute, some closing their eyes when they feel the thunder eradicating their ship structure and throwing them into darkness. In the heat of the battle, numbers become important. The universe starts computing. The tide retreats. The Behemoths scream and disappear one after another and the coalition fleet has to warp out. Soon the last capital ship stands alone in a see of burning metal, he disappear too.
Tribute Quadrant, yesterday 21:47 The Tau Ceti fleet supreme commander watch the battlefield. As everywhere and as long as battles have been fought, now has come the time to evaluate. Six dreadnoughts, the whole part of the Capital Ship fleet that was engaged, were annihilated by the enemy, seven enemy Dreadnoughts were destroyed. ô13 Behemoths, 13ö Maybe war has a sense of humor after all. As brothers and sisters of the deaths are actively scavenging the remains of the battle, he remembers the words ôthe only worst thing than a victory is a defeatö

Fistly great account of the battle, shame i cant write as well as that or i would do one from our prospective, but very good and nice to see its not tainted in your favour.
I feel absolutly priveledged to have been involved in this battle, dont think i will ever forget it. One thing i think the report on tcf battleships losses was a little underestimated and as we warped in on tcf battle pos i feel the outcome could have been a whole lot worse for us.
GREAT FIGHT and hope theres more to come

Just 1 question. When logging on yesterday, there was a message that we should expect lag until after DT, should this not have been taken into account by both sides?
I guess war comes first.

As is usually the case, I was at work when all the "cool stuff" happened. I was listening in on TS when I was home for lunch and nothing was really happening...basically the fleets were warping around trying to get an advantage on each other. I guess things hit the fan shortly after I left to head back to work.
I imagine Morsus Mihi is remaining relatively silent because we don't have a whole heck of a lot to talk about other than fighting hard, usually outnumbered. I am hopeful that will change soon. In my view, the current state of affairs in Tribute could have been avoided rather easily and it will now require more work and expense to undo this mess.
Props to TCF for good fights and picking a very good time for their offensive. We were off helping friends in Cloud Ring when this started. Along the lines of what the guy from RISE said, it's kind of tough fighting against old friends whom we (Shiva) wouldn't have fired upon until we moved to Tribute.
I look forward to the fight that is ahead of us, though, if the fights thus far have been any indication of what is to come. I am somewhat concerned that Tribute is not up to the task in terms of lag, though. I am hopeful things bet better, at some point.
See you in space, TCF.

Honestly, I don't think it matters in Tribute. I find the lag to be heavier in the region on any day than other regions I have fought in. Heck, on my combat alt, I recently got lagged out in a system really bad just when a few hostiles jumped in...was right in jump range and could even click to jump out or do anything. There was probably a total of 8 people in the system with just three or four having jumped in. It was sick.
Maybe it's just been the last month or so for Tribute. That's the length of my experience in the region.

All i will say on this War for Tribute is this;
Ive been part of some great fights so far and i have gained a greater respect for the pilots of our friends that have chose to fight along side us, but also i have gleaned a new found respect for the enemy 'Tau Ceti' who have provided some of the best smack free battles its ever been my pleasure to fight in. for that i say thankyou , but dont forget im fightin for my home and i will fight to my last ship ,isk and round of ammo/missle.

Fair enough, but don't expect us to just roll over and flee because you're bringing lots of allies in the field. May we all have lag-free brawls and fun together.

AFAIK, we have a NAP between TCF and Goonswarm, which is just that, a NAP. That doesn't exactly mean we're allied. And, also AFAIK, you haven't asked us to help you.
Now D2 has come to have fun, too. Too bad the sides's numbers are so unbalanced now that there will be more lag, less fights and less fun for everyone.

Well check the map. Tribute which you're invading is on D2's route from lonetrek to their home in branch. And Morsus Mihi are friends to D2 and you are not. Can't expect them to just let a hostile force move into their route to and from empire can you?

D2 have many reasons for this, but i also agree on what shadowsword is saying to the extend that lag is such a big issue. Epic battles are fought, but one can only dream of an EVE where combat was somehow limited more in grid/systems. A battlefield with many fronts, and multiple fleets and taskforces coordinated with eachother.

Basically, the french caught us bare-assed while we were hanging out with our homies in CR, sorting the goon problem.
A fast strike got our POSes into reinforced, and they managed to get a foothold. We've summoned back our forces and called in allies, and well, from now on it should just be a mere question of time.

We prepared that assault for weeks, buying POS, getting a decent capital ship component and stockpiling pre-fitted conventional ships. And we have a lot of very good guys in the logistic side.
Morsus Mihi members are very experienced in pvp, and they're determined, but so do we.

Yeah, it seems that most people considered us to be a minor nuisance or something like that, which gave us little choice but to prove our worth in battle
But it make me sad to see old friends shooting at each others, ex-FA against others ex-FA
This is something i would have much prefered to have avoided, but well, as long as both side are having fun, i guess it will be alright, let's just keep it smackfree

mistakes do happen in all situations , as long as this remains a smack free Battle for our homes ill enjoy it , as will everyone else. as i said though mistakes do happen , and this one wont ever repeat itself once our home Home regions are strenghened and defences are re-structured ill personnally be looking towards venal (but that will be another chapter)

Originally by: NereSky Yeah the apparent Tactical planning before the invasion is easily seen , as the initial invasion was flawless and perfectly timed. as our main force was away from home, also tbh we under estimated u guys i believe.
i just hope it doesnt turn into a POS spam war but hey ho lol
I am in no way insinuating any battle that took place after the initial invasion we or anyone else under estimated the opponant, I said 'I believe' we under estimated TCF during the weekend while are forces were in Cloud ring battling GS , TCF got a better foot hold in our systems than i would have given them credit for while our forces were away from home. Since then RAWR and friends have dictated the battles which have been fervantly fought on both sides. i will no longer post on this thread as i do not want to get into political discussions all i wanted to do was offer my congratz to all pilots on both sides for some great fightin' and give credit where credit is due.

We are outnumbered that for sure, but most of TCF corps and pvpers are used to be outnumbered in our old home. We fought several months in Fountain and we know how to do guerilla if needed. Morsus and friends know that and peace in Tribute will never happen without a diplomatical issue, until then, war will raged in north! Respect to Morsus Mihi and GL!

Yesterday D2 showed us a way to support dreads that we never saw before, I think, and our only realist plan to inflict them loses (options are limited when your forces are split in two systems, and when the enemy has around 10v1 local superiority) fell on it's nose.
One of the good things about this attack on Tribute is that it give us a crash course about POS wars.

Yeah, I do think it's quite wrong. At the beginning of this campaign you fielded 200 pilots in H-W you said so yourself. We had 280 tops yesterday. It's not like our blobs are maxed out yet, or perhaps even will be.
Oh and if you see all those as different hostile entities you know we will have comms issues. 200 well coordinated against 300 decently coordinated should be a good fight but instead you come here to whine about all the different flags you are facing. Get your **** together instead of sending 15 frigs after a dn fleet.

I dont see what you are trying to tell... You state that we have 200 pilots and that now you have 280, but if it's true it's off topic and General Furyan's post is still correct...

Sigh, honestly. He is trying to paint a picture where you guys are outnumbered 10 to 1 and he is doublecounting our side even. He is quite clearly wrong.
All I'm saying is that If you guys got your act together like you did when you invaded Tribute it would be closer to 3 to 2 with you having coordination advantages. That's not so hard to understand now is it? Are you disagreeing with my pov?

Agree on the facts... But i think that your misinterpreted General Furyan's post. It's not a "omg coalition vs us" post like you seems to think but just an inventory. If you think that this list is wrong, you can post a correct version.

If you read correctly the first post, you'll find out we were actually 150. You're also not considering our ennemies scattered around, blocking our reinforcements. And not least, our players are mainly on the same timezone, which means our 150 people presence can only be achieved on a short amount of time, while you can sustain it longer. Maybe your assumption about a better coordination is right but anyway, with the current lag, warping on any major formation results with death before the overview gets loaded.

You know as well as anyone that sending pilots into a 0.0 system that already has 300 peeps in it, into a camped, bubbled gate, is suicide, pure and simple. The lag doesn't allow that.
As for numbers, we CAN have a 200-man fleet... When it's planned in advance, and not after a week of non-stop pvp ops. And not on a staurday night, either. I think it's the pretty much the same for every alliance. But enough is said about numbers. We're badly outnumbered, everyone know it, and they're no point insisting on it. We'll fight anyway we can, so long that it's not outright suicide, and we'll try to have fun doing it...

Hehe, YOU talk about flame... but you dont seems to understand that there was vile lag in tribute too. not 40s, not 2 minutes :)
About 5 minutes for my ship to align, warping 5 minutes later, of course at the worst moment. At some points, the overview did not even load between 2 warpin-warpout !
Maybe XZH was your first experience of lag, but learn that this will occurs each time that there's too many people in a system...

Hi all,
my intention was not to wine about numbers, but to inform who were involved in the conflict. You are right when you say that this list is not accurate, in fact after verification it miss 2 other alliance and 1 corp on Morsus side Also one mistake i did is puting a corp from D2 in this list, my mistake But i will not post any more list in future, sry about that!
Respect to the D2 guys who posted here, i can see now some reel nice guys in your formation!
Also, i wish to say that no mather what will happen, i'm impress by the logistic and fire power of TCF. I can see that TCF can fight most alliance in eve 1 vs 1. Having friends is always a good thing, this is what we lack for the moment ehhehehe But things can change, we never know - General Furyan |

tcf managed to alienate their neighbours on the way in already. barking in, knocking in the door. living in npc stations and having such a big mouth ---- we all know the advantages of npc stations.
d2 was starting a campaign in venal to make live difficult for tcf. after 1 day the cloudring incident happened and we had to leave for a month abandoning our venal plans. now u atack another neighbour while many of its pilots are elsewhere. u sure have an ability to make friends fast. i personally have not much respect for tcf because without the npc stations in venal they wouldnt have even one station to dock in the whole north.

If you finaly manage to regain control of Tribute, which is not done yet, feel free to come to "kick" us out of Venal any time. We're still newbies at fighting in conquerable space, and we saw the difference in experience in pos attack between D¦ fleet commanders and ours, and hell even between any other alliance we've seen in action so far, but when it comes to guerilla warfare in NPC 0.0, we are quite experienced. I hope you have Buddah-like patience.
Tribute is a training ground, we made mistakes that will probably cost us this battle, but practice makes perfect, and this is what we were looking for. We do not think that an alliance will become strong by quietly carebearing somewhere under the protection of another alliance. We can already see the huge difference in fighting skill between TCF three months ago and now.
We've been hard on our members, asking them to get the **** out of their belt and missions to fight a very hazardeous war that we knew would certainly bring the whole north against us, when we were offered by the northern coalition to be able to carebear in venal quietly. There has been no whinning about this choice. There still isn't, despite the fact that we took heavy losses and some of our members lost a lot of ISK and assets.
I think most TCF members would rather do something as a team, even with limited means, even against an overwhelming odd, than carebearing alone undisturbed somewhere in 0.0 forever. We do not want to be an alliance that mine while our allies are under attack a few jump away. We do not want to be considered as mining slaves unable to do anything by themselves. We do not want to be allied with people that would consider us as a minor alliance with no military forces and no skills. We want to become strong and to be recognized as such, until then, we'll keep fighting.

d2 was starting a campaign in venal to make live difficult for tcf. after 1 day the cloudring incident happened and we had to leave for a month abandoning our venal plans. now u atack another neighbour while many of its pilots are elsewhere. u sure have an ability to make friends fast. i personally have not much respect for tcf because without the npc stations in venal they wouldnt have even one station to dock in the whole north.
We don't want your respect, we just want to figth till the end Thats it! We want challenge here and if you want to destroy us like Bob and D2 destroy the Goon...feel free to try but we dont loose without a big fight!
I'M proud to figth the Morsus army, I have respect for them and their allies! I respect d2 too because they have good FC...but I dont respect you, you are just a flammer without honor! Arjun Come figth us in the field and hate us here plz...do it in a forum its like hmmmm...a bad tactic

Edit: self-censured, no need to counter-flame.
All those comments about npc stations are boring, so listen: - Taking a conquerable mean a POS war - A POS war mean a capital fleet - Without capital fleet, no POS war, no conquerable.
Until recently we didn't have enough dreads and carriers. now we do, so we're trying to take 2 conquerables. What part of that can't you understand?

....
I was be present the first day of engagement and we are like 180 TCF pilots and in the end of the first phase the same day we are 200 pilots...but now you know its doesn't mean we always 200 TCF player all the time and all the day. Because the Day 1 operation was planned like 1 month ago and all people was aware of this day in our alliance, now its like we gang with all people can be here at the time...its normal and all alliance suffer this in all long term war. Finally yes Morsus have a lots of allies and us a little bit...but anyways who cares about this details? Think about Bob...they have no friend (( hahaha)) and win the majority of their war alone without the help of nobobies! Allies its a + but not the win button!
The point....I dont care how many ennemy we much figth here and if we are outnumebered or not...the objective its win this war at all cost!
Anyways sometimes in war....the number are not the first step of victory , its the will of the soldier and their skill are the first weapons in all frontline! Don't forget about that!
And now transfert the flamme into the game plz! I need action here

Might not be complete, just took last 24hrs ennemies kills
Just keep in mind that TCF picked this fight. Yes...you are outnumbered now...but it was we who were outnumbered when you rolled in while most were away.
I don't relish shooting at old friends but I do find it interesting that you're basically calling for a diplomatic solution when it was a complete lack of any diplomatic activity which accompanied your decision to squat in Venal's NPC stations, eh? I don't recall hearing much about diplomacy while you were spamming H-W and D7- with POS, either...heheh.
As you well know, there are lots of guys in the forces arrayed against you who have fought a very long time in Fountain, as well..longer than many who are in TCF and against tougher competition. We can handle what you're bringing to the table.
That said, speaking only for myself and not my alliance or my corporation, I hope something amicable gets worked out eventually between the combatants because I believe we'd be pretty strong allies. However, I'm new to the Tribute area and it's politics and I do not have quite at much "history' to draw upon in forming my judgements of the situation. I gather there are several issues that need addressing, not the least of which is your eventual expulsion from Tribute. I guess we'll finish the task at hand and see where things stand.
See you guys in space. It's been a fairly godo time thus far, though POS fighting really isn't my favorite thing to do.

Heh...as am I, bud. Based upon what I saw from TCF for the first few weeks I was in the area, I didn't think you guys had this in you. I know quite a few of you from FA/VC and I pretty much figured it was the same people in a different place with the same actions (or lack thereof). In a way, it's nice to see that I was wrong.
I've been impressed with what you guys did, right down to the timing of when you did it. I'm sure Morsus Mihi will not be so complacement in the future. If we are, we will deserve what we get.
BTW..my alt owes your alt a 2,000+ point wrecking shot. My muninn was doing fine until I took that hit...lol. All gank, no tank...at least my pod got out...lol. Next time when I here 16 TCF are coming and there's only a couple of us, we'll probably not sit waiting for you to show up...heheh.

See you guys in space. It's been a fairly godo time thus far, though POS fighting really isn't my favorite thing to do.
Imho, there's two kinds of diplomacy. There's the "hello, can I have that conquerable and be your ally, please?" which put the asker in a position of inferiority, and then there's the "We'll show you we can be a major pain for you, until you want us to stop and give us something interesting ". The second kind basically put both sides on an equal footing. That's what we wanted. We don't claim to be just as strong as D2, or to have the same kind of industrial capacity, but we KNOW, at guts level, that we can hold our own against almost any other alliance our size, and we're ready to prove it. We're perfectly ready to settle on an diplomatic resolution, as long as it's negociated in an equal-to-equal basis. We don't want a bigger alliance just giving us stuff because it want to use us in some way.
And there lies the problem. Since the beginning, we've been badly under-estimated, because of those NPC stations. ERA wanted us to pay them 5 billions for a NAP. We told them where they could put that offer. D2 was like "They'll be back in empire in a month". But, weeks of fighting later, ERA proposed to NAP us, and because they were the first to consider us seriously, we allied with them against D2. Had D2 revised it's opinion first, I guess things would have been a lot more peacefull in the north, and our pvpers would have fun elsewhere. But there's no point try to guess how things could have turned, the past is the past.
It seems that for most, NPC station = carebear alliance, and they don't try to think any further than that. Well, we've been taunted about it one time too many, and now our primary objective is to take one conquerable or two, by force if necessary.
However, understand this: We have nothing personal against Morsus, on the contrary. We choosed Tribute first because of it's strategic position, and second because it's defenses weren't up-to-date, so to speak. We want the sovereignty over the region, but, afaik, kicking Morsus out of it isn't really an objective in itself, more like something we consider we'll probably have to do. Doing just that would probably turn Morsus on guerilla mode for months, with empire only a few jumps away. If you're ready to consider a compromise, giving up at least part of the sovereignty but still live in Tribute, THAT could be the basis of a diplomatic settlement.
What I just said is my opinion, based on infos that are a week or two out of date. The diplomatic stance of concerned alliances could have changed a lot since that..

Of coure I won't make public any of the recent negociations between TCF and the northern entities but if you're curious you might want to ask for a log of those discussions to your leaders.

Personal or not, you have made yourselves enemies to whole north. No matter how hard you want to prove your capabilities, there are multiple alliances as strong as you (if not stronger) that northerners rather wanted to have in your place. You are an annoyance. And you will stay as such, as long as you try to deny the facts. Tribute is not for you, and in Venal you'll end up being camped in stations.
You have tried diplomacy with several entities, straight up or with backhand dealings with our neighbours, to get foothold in north. But with no success. We know all about those, and none have any effect to the ownership of Tribute; It will stay as Morsus Mihi territory.
We have brought numbers against you since the day we came back from Cloud Ring. And we didn't even have to counter your POS wars with our own, to drive you out. You lost.
Now all that remains to be seen is when members of TCF realize that their leadership have led them to deadend. Your alliance could have bright future, if the leadership would be a bit wiser and a little less prideful. And due to actions of this leadership, the future of TCF isn't in Tribute, and I doubt it is in north altogether.
Due to being friends of you COLSUP at one point, I wish you all the best - after you've removed yourselves from Tribute.

After all this discussion. I just want to say that I'am really please of the way our leaders handle this campaign and all the members of TCF that I have spoken to have the same feeling. The battle we are facing doesn't come as a surprise to us, our leaders have told us from the start it was a strong posibility. We are ready for a very long fight and we have been told to prepare for it.
I'm just a simple soldier, but I would like to thank all the party involve in this war. The local have been really clean of garbage 99% of the time and the fight have been great. What all member of TCF and our ennemy are learning is well worth the price we are paying and will be paying in the futur. Special congratuallation to all people working in logistic. I the last couple of weeks I learn that the most valuable players of an alliance are not all on the killboard, you guys are amazing .

I have become more aware of your efforts of late since I have been working to get up to speed on things. I agree that I was wrong in my earlier comments about your lacking diplomatic efforts.
While I understand your point of view, I think you will find that in order to engage in "gunboat diplomacy" you really need to be able to exert your will more completely for a much longer time. From my point of view (which, as pointed out by myself AND Miss Lilly, is not an official Morsus Mihi point of view), I'm betting that your efforts of the past couple of weeks have only served to harden your neighbors against you.
With a few minor exceptions (on both sides), I think this has been a good, clean fight and I'm looking forward to seeing it through to its conclusion. If nothing else, you guys will likely not be underestimated by your neighbors again. That may bring you more attention than you're looking for, though.

Originally by: Amerame If you finaly manage to regain control of Tribute, which is not done yet, feel free to come to "kick" us out of Venal any time.
One word: Respect.
And i heard alot about you, that you changed alot in fighting attitude and behaviour the last months when i wasnt rly able to be online.
However, Amerame: what you realy need isnt fighting experience. You need diplomats with social competence. Quickly. --------------------------------

Eh eh, thats not true. I still have the logs, in fact you asked BOTH sides for a NAP and offered BOTH sides to help fighting against the other.
The problem was that ERA contacted me about it and you didnt deny it xD
Wasnt that the same issue that happened when RA asked V and at tht e same time LV to kill each other? Diplomacy at its worst, but if thats ur aim, so be it. But dont claim otherwise, your foreign affairs team is still horrible. --------------------------------

Our diplomacy is most certainly something we will work on once the dust has settled, after the Tribute campaign. Basicaly, about the early days, we did not really care about who we would team with, we though that each side was relatively equivalent in power, and that we could work with any, we also had several uncoordinated diplomates and no one in TCF had really an idea of what was going on, but we did not really care.
I still think it was the right choice at this point, lots of our members had little 0.0 experience and needed to be schooled ASAP, and they have been, they died horribly at each mistake they made. After 3 months in the north we have a lot more of 0.0 and PvP veteran than we had initialy. We did not choose to play eve on easy mode, postponing the difficult stuff for later. Now we have a fairly capable alliance, we have practiced guerilla warfare and grinding in Venal , fleet battle in Tribute, capital ship battles, pos defence, we planned and executed this by ourselves, this is not something we could have achieved in 3 months by not putting ourselves directly at risk, by fighting with nothing at stake, fighting with another alliances calling the shots and babysitting us.
Of course soon we will have to ask ourselves what to do with our war machine now that the training is soon over, will we go russian on you ? will we sail to other shores ? But you're right, regardless of what we plan next, diplomacy is probably the next thing TCF will sort out.

Uhm, isnt living in NPC stations sort of without risk, else you wouldnt even have been in 0.0 at all?
But its a step forward youve taken. Hope it works out for you guys!

Dear Chee
Of course arriving in H-PA an NPC station the first week of the existance of the alliance without any NAP. Building your capital fleet a couple of months. Attacking alone or so an alliance that have NAP and ally the full region, installing more then 24 large POS in the process in ennemy territory. All very easy stuff.
Let look the hard way your alliance did it. Anyway the way I have seen it since I arrive in Venal. D2 send capital fleet to H-PA fail to destroy the POS there. They make a very good attack to IMK with the capital fleet escort by a large fleet of +150 ships. They kick out ERA. Then look at the MAP Morsus and Guard have Tribute. All that is needed is a little agreement with strings. Ok that's enouf I know you can turn this thing up side down and we can start a flaming contest. This is certainly not my goal.
I don't want you to think I have a probleme with your alliance. I know 4S since I first start in this game a couple of months ago. They were first hostile and later ally. I respected them at that time and I respect Morsus today. I would be happy to fly with you guys as ally but things don't always happen the way you expect. So let's at least be good ennemy and respect each others.

Only the thread starter can ask for a lock, but I agree that the thread has run it's course.
However, you didn't need to post in it, the thread was well on it's way to the second page (aka forums's rotting places) before you put it back up again.

Dont use to wright on forums...most off the time people get tired off all those flaming and childish comments so it gets boring or to low to read.
Not many flames on this one wich is a nice wiew but still pride hurts sometime and people cant keep their flaming mouth shout
Anyhow about TFC and their way off fighting i can say a lot. Its noticable they are learning bunch off people but very disciplined and determined one. I was not active much at all last 5 mounts but when i was online i hade chanse off fighting them here and there. I must say that they remind me a lot of 4S as young and active. Still they maybe lacked will to fight even numbers or solo most of the cases before this Tribute action. Which doesent have to be a bad thing couse it showed enormous discipline and calm ..always waiting for backupp to arriwe and rarley giveing easy kills. Now many off the guys may think its weak or low to fight that way but it is very effective and is virtue off small still learning Alinace to get expiriensed people without taking much losses, annoying your enemy and treining future fleet comanders the good stuff with little risk of failure. When u played this game for some time that kind off play gets boring as u want to have use off your high skillpoints or expirience u so far got. So u like to fly in small gangs, fighting against bigger forces and so on. TFC is not an alianse or was not that aliance u wanna do that against becouse they whill play their game and outblob u to fast .
Abouth Tribute campaign it was well done and timed equal. Tactics used showed also on great leading. Swiching 2 systems and blocking defending force in one off those. Most off MM pilotes were long way from home and defending force was low. But first wawe off sieging was done exemplary. I m just surprised how much ISK u got considering how many poses u are/were willing to loose But when i think twice some off TFC guys already answered that question in earlier treads mentioning gaining expirience in siege warfere and small chanse off success off military gained diplomatic solotions ( wich whill fail in this case ). But still are a factor in tribute campaign.
Anyhow i must say that TFC have a big respect from me even if i dont always like how they fight. It makes this game so much more interesting. No smalking and great chats with their guys. Think what a GREAT game we could get if LAG was reduced and all could enjoj big fleet fights to the maximum. Thats maybe the only thing we so far are missing in last few days .
Big thanks to TFC for some nice action, keep it comming and lets have more off it.

Although I'm not about to spark any type of resistance towards myself. I am very fond of Morsus Mihi, as they let me rat in their system every now and then.
Best of lucky to both sides, but I hope Morsus prevails!

Ive only had limited experience of the campaign in Tribute. I have seen at least some of TCF in action & from what ive seen, you have shown urselves capable pilots. The fact youve lasted this long in Tribute is impressive against such a coalition of GARD, GWAAR, D2 & others. However I wonder which side will break first? I know who I want to win . Keep having fun out there. _______________________________________________ The above comments & views do not reflect the opinions of Cosmic Odyssey or Chorus of Dawn; just those of an enlightened member |
