Hi i am stuck with a phoon and although i can imagine it is not the best sniper i need a setup for it.
I know there are better snipers but there is no money to get them atm. Please, if there are any possibilities to get a somewhat decent sniping setup please help me out.

just like any other sniper, 2x sensorbooster,2x tracking comp, 4x 1400,4xcruise, bcu's+gyro's+tracking in low. altough that damage output pretty much blows. nice antifrig stuff on it i guess.

frack sniping, the phoon's a man's ship. so put a good resistance based armor tank down low, autocannons and torps up top, a good afterburner and go kick some faces in!

Snipe in a phoon are you crazy?
Why do you need this?
There are much better things to do in a phoon than snipe and if you cant afford a sniper ship Then use the phoon to earn you that money.

ok ok Got it.
Most post say what i already mentionned in my first post and as i said I know that already: Phoon is not a sniping bs, no need to repeat that another hundred times after this post.
People would actually help me if they suggested what to use in the particular situation that i am in. I have a phoon and i MUST use it for several reasons in a sniping manner.
untill now the only one that made a usefull post was the first reply and i thank the poster for that.
I thank the other posters for their willingness and effort but you weren't exactly helping much. If I ask how to train a dog to play dead, i don't need the info that a dog barks.

Say stated if you want it just for sniping the post mensioned above is probably the bet you will get for insta pop damage. However if you are looking for a long range set up ie not a sniper set up.. Than you could go with 4 1400 and 4 cruise launchers. However you will need good skills and fitting mods just to get it to fit.
Going to see what I can come up with on quick fit however note whatever I come up with will be with high skills.

Highs: 1400mm Artillery II with Tremor x 4, Cruise Launcher II with Precisions x 4
Mids: Sensor Booster II x 2, Tracking Computer II x 2
Lows: Armour Rep, Gyrostabs/BCUs and probably a fitting mod.

Hmm, you could also set up 5 sentry drones somewhere convenient (they won't move away) and boost your drone control range (Drone Link Augmentors) enough so you can get them to attack your target. The sentries themselves only have some 70km range, but set them up 70kms sidewise and they can cover you while you can cover them.
I figure 5 sentries do more DPS than 2 high slots, and they've got some alpha strike.
