In contravention of the ceasefire terms several TTi members have been caught mining in NVA territory over the last few days - including the placement of secure cans in an asteroid belt in the closed system Y-4CFK.
NA members from the bandit corporation Space Invaders have also been reported as having docked and logged in this system in preparation for piratical activities.
Are these simply individual actions on the part of TTi members or a larger effort to undermine the NVA?

Edited by: KIAEddZ on 08/10/2003 11:18:18 I am told that TTI have heard from an inside source that the Bistot spawn problem is to be solved in the upcoming patch.
It is obvious to me that they have moved their resource and cans etc to the Y4 belts in preperation for the fix, and with intention to******the y4 belts, just like they did the first time round, for the mega, making a few billion isk a day.
Si have moved to y4 to provide a lock down and protection for the TTi miners etc.
I am afraid though, if the rumour is true, the Bist in y4 would take ages to grow to any worth while size, and there is no way in hell that SI can hold the NVA (and the rest of the Northern corps) at bay for that long. This is idd a grave mistake fromthe TTI/SI forces.
I am sure much denial of this will be forthcoming, with a declaration of war from the si guys, and a declaration of peace from the TTi guys, either way, the NVA will not allow this action to continue, prepare to spend a lot of time sat in the station guys.
TTIs forces will not survive another war with us, and such a shame to see 2 great corps signing their own destrction warrants for nothing more than isk. Greed is mans ngreatest downfall.

I'd like to hear what Gunny P has to say on the matter, or will he begin to remain as anonymous as the last TTI CEO did recently?
SI should go back to annoying miners, I would imagine there isn't anything in Venal for them except the inside of a station.

Love it.. lol
On topic? hmm.. no comments really. Don't think TTI will ally themselves with SPVD again (Space Invaders).. they've already done that mistake once and they have stated several times 'no more alliances with pirates'.
Maybe checking with Mark A or GunnyP in this matter would help. Check with people in charge instead of trying to sort out truth via listening to rumours.
Hmmmm but the real nice news.. fixing bistot spawn sounds good. Finally more mega in space.. where to find new about it?? *will start digging* |

I think NVA is forgetting a very important fact here, when TTI toke on a new CEO they also disbanded any alliances they previously had when they broke with the VA.
Now I feel free to state that SI and TTI never were that close, and many of you know the rumours of TTI's costly way of producing ships. I find it shocking that yet again peopel assume that TTI and SI are working together just because we were seen in teh same area. TTI themselves have stated there is no connection bewteen us anymore, and I at least do not regret our bound being cut.
As Mastema has stated, we were theyre to pick up BP's, what TTI has done there is none of our concern at the moment.

I very much doubt TTI are working with space invaders.
I heard the bistot respawn rumor about 2 weeks ago. It's no big secret, I've got no idea if it's true or not though.
Space Invaders never worked with TTI in the war, so I see no reason why they would start now.
Their members still have a lot of stuff in Venal, and I wouldn't be suprised if they are just going to pick a load up and go again.
Either way, if they're here cause they're bored and wanna fight, then it should be fun for both sides tonight :)
TTI mining operations have taken place in Venal since the war (nothing massive, just a couple of members) but certainly think this is cheeky, and needs formally clarifying by the council on what our stance is etc.
From what I hear, and what I know of the corps I don't think there's a big conspiracy afoot (even though I'm hoping for one ;)). ---

KiaInkz, you are more accurate then your mate Edd.
'Si have moved to y4 to provide a lock down and protection for the TTi miners etc'
Thats the reason of my previous post, if you want to know TTI's reason for being in venal and mining, ask them. They have agreed to end the hostilies, and we (SI)do pretty much as we please at any moment.

For the record, I spoke with the Vice President of Taggart last night and raised these conerns. Mark A assured me that this was no subtle preparation for a return to hostilities but likely a case of absentee TTI pilots not having read the news and forums.
I warned Mark to let his pilots know that TTI is now effective KOS in Venal and PB again (as per the completion of withdrawl of assets).
All exceptions to this (by lone TTI pilots wanting to colllect stuff) must now be pre-arranged by contact with the NVA council. Failure to do this will result in the destruction of the offending ship.
To reiterate most clearly;
Any activity by TTI members in Venal and PB beyond pre-arranged withdrawl of assets is considered a breach of ceasfire and will lead to destruction of the ships concerned.
This was and is the official position of the NVA council.
I personally trust Mark A at his word.
But we didn't build a regional alliance by being naive.
Love and peace

Could you instruct your fellows of the NVA, to read the lastest news before accusations? We may be pirates, but some assumption are so far away from the thruth it even makes us whince.

We shall soon see if Mark A is telling the truth depending on whether or not the secure cans in the asteroid belts are removed.

My sweet Lianhaun; sorry to disappoint, but the only people I currently ôinstructö are young gentlemen and ladies of the NVA come to my private chambers in Y-4 for a hour or two of diverting baroque folly by delicate design and sensuous cruelty, pleasure not politicsà
The NVA council is an open member democracy and reaches its own decisions and conclusions thereafter.
As for Space Invaders mÆdear, you do remain on KOS status as a holdover from the liberation of Venal, but then, since everyone is KOS to the Space Invaders, its all fair (in love and war).

As I've pointed out on numerous occasions you will see that my head, seat of the soul, takes the place of the egg, the vessel of Amarrian DNA soon to be fertilized by by the anointed seed of the Imperial Will. The effect was more halo-like until CONCORD red tape forced me to reduce the vertical size. Surely the parable is clear?
Quite what is funny and/or bizarre about it I fail to see...

While all this talk about things not so related to Venal is going on I'd like to interrupt and ask whether or not the routes up and down to venal are being kept free or not, aswell as what the policy towards lone pilots who aren't in a corp right now coming up there is? (and yes I realise it still lists me as TTI, guess I should train corp management and change that...) Last time I tried some paladins of the red skull podded me just 2 jumps out of empire space, although I wasn't really focusing on flying at that very moment...

It is very hard to completely eliminate pirate activity by small groups, but we are gradually making it harder and harder for them to operate in Venal, especially, and the surrounding regions. It appears you were podded in Pure Blind by pirates who are on the NVA KOS list, an occurance we are working to prevent but none-the-less not our responsibility.
Non-aligned corporations and individuals are welcome in Venal except for the two closed systems Y-4CFK and 6NJ8. These are important bases for the NVA and the reason these are closed is to prevent large scale station camping. Unauthorised personnel in these areas aren't shot at without warning, but if they refuse to move along into a neighbouring system (not a huge request) then they will be attacked.
Members of ceasefire corporations are however excluded from the entirity of Venal and whilst a certain amount of tolerance is displayed by the NVA - any member of TTi or M3G4 setting up long term bases or entering the closed systems 6NJ8 and Y-4CFK will be attacked without warning as they are in violation of the ceasefire terms. If your corporation tag says TTi then this will include you. If you have assets that require removal then special access permission can be given whilst you relocate, but this must be obtained in advance. It is your corporation's responsibility to ensure that you are aware of these terms.

Jade,
I was wondering what the level of access is to Venal for non-NVA members at the moment. I've left some things up there from a couple of months ago when I left and would like to retrieve them. Is the area open to all yet or still under blockade?

Yes I gathered that much, didn't know 2 of the 3 stations I have 100+ items at are off limits though, How do I join the NVA once my corp is set up then so I can get access to my stuff again? A special clearance obviously is also enough but I don't exactly have confidence in moving out the items right now, mainly because it seems the newly formed Lonetrek forge grouping has so far been rather ineffective at clearing even the obvious close to empire space camping spots. Once they get that done things obviously look different, although I'd rather not leave the region I've called home for the last 4 and a half months... |
