To BoB: If you are out to destroy us utterly as you claim, you made an intelligent maneuver in taking SU. D2 had given us the fight of our lives in XZH, and to step up to that fight we moved the vast majority of our ships and production infastructure out of SU and into the staging areas around XZH. As of now we are unable to regroup these far flung pieces of infastructure to our previous home. Well done. Your actions have shifted our realistic time-table for getting back on our feet from a few days to a few weeks, a tactically intelligent maneuver given your goal.
What I don't enjoy seeing is grand proclamations of inneptitude and cowardice on our part. If we rush headlong and uprepared into S-U we will lose, because we have not done so you claim we have lost already. Yet the only non-innept choice for us is clear; spend the time it takes to get our fighting infastructure and material set up, and our troops and tactics briefed for the long JQV campaign ahead.
Remedial was blasted rather soundly on these forums for posting, much as you did here, a claim of victory over NORAD a scant week after our campaign in Outer Ring began. I don't see this as much different. In fact you may have beat him by a day or two.
You claim you are playing the game to win. Do not belittle us for not playing the game to lose.

At no point are we "claiming victory" with this post.
This is merely the beginning of a long campaign and a highlight to the ineptitude of your alliance which claimed very vigorously that "This is our time now; it is the age of Goonswarm."
Apparently, we should under no uncertain terms "consider us [goonswarm] newbies after this; theyÆre going to consider us monsters, and monsters eat bullies."
Unfortunately, your alliance is the same as all the others we have dealt with.
You talk loud and proud on the forums but don't have the testicular fortitude to bring it ingame.

It's an internet meme. If you can prove that it originated on SA I'd be interested to hear about it because etymology interests me, but in any event it's all over the interweb now, in the same way that "Hoover" is all over the real world.

Originally by: Algey BoB have pulled off a blinder here. They have aced the propaganda war, and utterly flattened the Goonies main isk generating area while they were busy fighting D2.
I actually expected BoB to hammer a weakened D2, but looking at alliance numbers they have probably made the right choice, since the Goons were growing to become far more of a threat to BoB than D2.
I think the main question has to be: Will this make the Goonies disband, or at least lose a large number of their personel? If it does this will have worked for BoB; however if it doesn't it will mean that in the future there will be a significantly more equal sp terms fight, with an enemy that now truly hates BoB.
With a total member base of over 80,000 people, I highly doubt that there will be a lack of people on SA who will want to play that crazy space ship game...

After a successful scouting operation into s-u today i ascertained that the Empire scum have placed about 8-10 warp bubbles on my entry point . This intel is an awesome first start to my goal of eventually ridding the galaxy of anal retentive bullies (BoB) and a great morale boost to the rebel forces in the area . Rest assured i shall be moving multiple t1 frigs and cruisers etc etc blah blah down via my freighter buddy and hope to achieve at least a 20-1 loss/kill ratio versus the tyrants .
I plea now to any people of eve who respect free speech and dont want their whole game run by 40-50 "veterans" to join me in my quest to aid goons in their destruction of the old guard and hail a new , free era in eve!

Did it ever occur to you that we don't need your advice
Did it ever occur to you that you are crap?
Interesting. Where do you derive your self-worth? ..a computer game or something? That's what I thought.
BoB, all you did was attack an entity when it was in its worst position to in months to defend itself, succeed in your attack on SU (imagine that ), and then proceed to bash GS for not doing more to defend itself. This is why you're the masters of forum propoganda, you some how make out like this proves something.
Let's talk constructively here. BoB's strength as a fighting force is undeniable, it isnt as if you need to wait until people are weak to attack, yet it appears to be your modus operandi. Logically it allows you to not be entrenched in a real war, ensures domination, and thus limits your potential vulnerability while boosting your indominable image. The thing is, Im a reasonable person, and I hate the hypocrisy and lies. You are the one's calling for an exciting fight, but through your actions real fireworks are avoided.
This is the heart of the difference between playing the game for 'fun' and playing to 'win'. Obviously to win the game, as you stated is the goal, you need to control all regions. Therefore, let's say the region Querious would have had to of been a point of interest for some time, right? So for example, BoB could have attacked it while FIX was its powerful owner, the war could have had many fireworks, some FIX neighbors and others may have joined in due to their mutual dislike of BoB, more fireworks. We can all admit that that would be one crazy war, cant we? That was not the action pursued. BoB, you obviously have the right to choose your next move in this game, but please when it happens to be attacking someone when they are Down or weaker than even normal relative to you .. Dont Complain about Not Getting A Decent or Challenging Fight! This seems to be one of your main smacking points.. You are like a ripped martial artist walking up behind some regular athlete and hitting them in the back of the head with a bat. Then gloating over it by thumping your chest etc.. wtf!? It isnt like the ripped martial artist couldnt take the guy easily enough in a face to face fight. If you are going to hit them in the back of the head with the bat, then at least consider not thumping your chest, it's tasteless.
*the above does not reflect anyone's views but my own* I apologize in advance for trying to interject logic into this ego driven computer game. Still, posting this is more enjoyable than doing my actual work piling up infront of me.
Good post tbh, but.
Goons smacked alot about how BOB is afraid and that they would fight us etc etc and now they are pretty much gone but I hope they will come in force soon.
Also playing for win = fun for me. Don't smack without being abel to back it up, that's the differense between goon smack and bob smack.
And at last, if ppl throw crap at me then I throw it back and if you don't like it don't read my posts.

Can we go outside of the system we've said is "no-engagement zone" please? We loose frigates left, right and center, but if we kill one battleship or one expensive ship in that raid then we've inflicted a more serious economic impact on your side than you have in ours.
Numbers do not scare the goons, because we know that if we loose 50 frigates (~10-15Mish), but take out 1 Megathron (120M+): we win.

see and thats where BoB and Goons are completly on differnt levels. Our BS and HACS and recons are like your frigs. Basically they cost us nothing. So thinking you have any economic impact on us for a BS loss or a HAC loss than you are sorely mistaken.

Victory, when on defense of your homeland, is not about ISK numbers. Its about being the one who flies thier flag when all is said and done. Sure, you can kill a ton of ISK more than you lost and have a significant economic impact at least on the poor sot who's t2 ship was turned to dust, but when someone else is in your home, you have not won until they are GONE. Else, it may be a pyrrhic victory for them, or they may even walk out of there with a bloody nose, but either way, you have lost. Sure, not every battle is winnable, but don't go claiming victory simply because you have spent less money than your enemy in a war.
Come back when you have actually done something about your home and then shoot your mouth off on the forums about how you managed to wrestle bob out of your home system or you gave them the best fight you could on the way down. That is how to earn respect from all sides, but nobody really cares about one HAC you blew up in Jita when your home is being infested by the enemy.
