Unfortunately when you know little about a large group of people it's easy to use a common factor and any ingrained associated stereotype. I don't see how people can accept this course of action believing that SA is some sort of "cancer" and needs to be exterminated. Do these people also hold to the opinion that "All middle-easterners are terrorists....they must be...they are from the middle-east for christ sake!" or "All East Europeans keep sheep in their front room. Thats what East Europeans do". *snip*

First and foremost let me say 1) I am not a goon fanboi 2) I have nothing against BoB, per se 3) This is not intended as flame bait 4) I think this one of the best treads on the Eve-o in a while
With that said, someone please help me becasuse I think I'm going to be physically ill, but I must agree with Thunk on many points.
I will not even begin to discuss the convo/banner incident on Goons part, those events have been discussed and rehashed time and again in treads throughout these forums. But how does BoB differ? Because they made their motivation out of revenge? The incidents were in-game about events out of game. BoB took those in-game events out of game. I have heard time and again that the reason that everyone hates the Goons is because they chose not to be "a part" of the community. So BoB sunk to their level? I more than understand the anger and indigination at the events, however rather than make this personal, BoB could very easily have handled this within the context of the game and still achieved their end purpose. Their is no moral high ground on either side, period!
To the Goons, please read this tread carefully. The consensus expressed here knows now corp or alliance affiliation. I have seen it myself. I could never be associated with Remedial and the Goons because of their actions here (the political arena) or in the running of the alliance. With that said nor could I be affiliated with BoB and SirMolle.
Everyone should understand that because you put in your sig "the views are my own not my corp/Alliance" do not make it so. Every post on these forums are a reflection of the corp/alliance that member belongs to. And the minority of Goons that have made complete fools of themselves, has reflected on the Goons as a whole. Does that give any one corp/alliance the "right" to drive another out of the game? Game mechanics and political ebvironment day yes, morality should say no. Because you CAN do a thing, doesn't mean you SHOULD!
This should be a lesson, not only to the Goons, but to all of Eve. If you choose to set yourself apart from the community, politics and PR of the game (these Forums) then you will create very large and powerful enimies that in the end will be your downfall.
To Jasmine and DC, very insightfull and well though posts.
