Hi! We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, September 23rd, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time).
What exactly is being tested?
- New cloaking effects
- Performance of the new way of loading ships (new Space Object Factory)
- Mac cider update
- New notification system
- General stability and performance of client and server for Oceanus
How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Test steps:
- Meet in FD-MLJ at the gate to X-BV98
- Enable new notifications
- Jump to X-BV98
- Test cloaking (spread out and cloak)
- Warp to POS beacon
- Shoot the control tower
- Align to Poitot gate
- Fleet W: Jump to Poitot and setup gate camp
- Fleet X: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate
What else should I know?
- We will be moving players to the test system - join the channel massmoveme
- 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
- Bring as many different ships as possible. Cynos will be provided
- Fit a cloaking device, if possible

Regarding rewards/incentives for helping in mass test:
The 2M skill points on Singularity per mass test are working pretty well and are anticipated by quite a few players (but for sure not by all). I am not against changing the rewards, but so far I am not really seeing the need for it.
Possible rewards would be (mostly) restricted to Singularity. Everything from items to skills and skill points are possible there. The only thing I could imagine for TQ would be some kind of medal "I helped in a mass test", but I am not sure on how this would work for attending multiple mass tests - and I have not heard anybody being interested in this so far. Giving skills or items on TQ is not possible, as nothing on test servers should give you a direct benefit on TQ.
Why 2 million and not 20? In my opinion 2 million skill points are enough to make a difference (at least for most skills) and they are not too much to make the next 2 million worthless (and we want to provide incentives for helping in more than one mass test). 20 million already give you enough skill points, that you might not want another 20 million skill points for your specific testing / play-style on Singularity. This is for sure something to discuss, if many of you think that 2M is too low. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock-á Bug reporting | Mass Testing |

Ravay Kanjus wrote:... Anyway, maybe the incorrect thread, but the overall point of this post: does the in-game time just show incorrectly at times? I have not heard about this so far. It should always show the server time (=UTC). Please send a bug report, If you find any proof that it is showing a wrong time (including screenshot). Thank you for helping! I applied 2M skill points to 573 participants.
For the moment I'll stick to 2 million skill points per mass test, but we'll discuss it further within QA. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock-á Bug reporting | Mass Testing |
