Just a brief thought while flying around in space making a regular delivery run, would it be possible to create a feature which allows you to select a pre-programmed flight path which you have inputted instead of having to search for each destination and add way point every time you want to do a journey.
For example i regularly make journeys from research agent to research agent to collect data-cores for invention, it would be handy if i could program a route into the system and then each week when i make my runs instead of having to reprogram the route over and over again, select the relevant tab and hey presto the route is there at the click of a button |

I use EveEye, which offers this functionality via the ingame browser. There are other utilities that can store a route for you as well. |

It would probably be nice to have possibility to save routes just as we save bookmarks or market quick search items.
For now I propose you to create note where you drop all waypoint locations for your route so you can quickly add them to route panel without searching for each system/station every time you need to travel.

Not to argue because saving routes would be good but here is an option.
If you visit the same places all the time set them up as book marks.
Then you can set up folders to hold those books for each route. Simply right click and set destination and off you go.

So you are proposing to create something along the lines of real-world flight plans.
It is an interesting idea, and would definitely add depth to the game (for role players) and make life easier for trade haulers.
I endorse this product and/or service.

came in expecting a terrible idea, found something that is actually very much acceptable and would be nice to see ingame. It's already possible, like some of the previous posters have said, but it would still be a nice addition. |
