Each turn consists of a number of phases. Players alternate playing through each of the phases during their turns. All phases during a turn must be finished before the next player can start his turn. The turn sequence below lists all the phases. For your convenience, the phases are also listed on every starbase.
Assume a game of 2 players (A&B) with A going first
Does this mean that A completes setup phase then player B does. Then A enters draw phase (where for first turn he can't draw a card)then B does (where on first turn he CAN draw a card) until all phases are complete and it becomes player B's turn to start a setup phase>
Or does it mean A goes through setup, draw, management, combat etc then B does
It would be helpful if CCP or indeed someone with experience of CCG's would post up an example game of 1 vs 1 and maybe a 3 player game so that us novices can get a feel for how game turns / phases / events should be structured.
Almost like a walkthrough of a game that you can follow and then you feel confident enough to go off and play against someone else without making a complete nob of yourself.

Player A goes through all the 5 phases. That completes his turn.
Then it's player B's turn and he goes through all the phases.
Then next players turn (A if there are only 2 players).

the Rulebook also states that a player goes through all his phases, and then the pllayer to his left starts his turn. That means:
Player A starts his turn with his setup phase. Player A continues through all phases, but other players can "interrupt" in various situations (News Cards), to effect the outcome of Player A's actions, if they can afford the respective card. Those news cards stack up and will need to be resolved to determine the final result of the phase. After Player A went through his phases, Player B (or in multiplayer games the one to the left) starts his turn with his Setup Phase.

You complete all of your phases for your turn - then it is player Bs turn is how I read it, and this would be in line with similiar CCGs such as MTG.
If you have nothing to do during a phase you just pass through it.
The only thing which alternates is 'initiative' - Player A get to play 'news' during a phase - then player B gets a chance (see the advanced rules in the booklet for this). This is how 'piles' stack. the last card on the stack resolves first and so on until the pile is empty.
Hope thats helpful (and correct!!!)

I would argue that the word "through" makes it unambugius. But that might just be me...

What that means is when I play a card, even if it is MY phase, I have to give you a chance to play a card. This means that I cant lay down 4 cards and say you can only play a "counterspell" on the last one. Every time I take an action, I have to give you a chance to react no matter WHAT phase we're in or whose turn it is.
