Edited by: Pinket on 06/08/2006 19:35:33 I have just acuired the skills necessary to use TS rockets and artillery ammo. I setup this Crow the way that I wanted and noticed something when I went to test it on the local spawns, my ship was fubar'd.
Right now I have 3 T2 rocket launchers fitted with rage rockets. Now according to the spec sheet it says that it reduces the cap recharge by 45%. My question is this: Is that accumlitave per rocket set? i.e. 2 launchers with rage rockets = 90% reduction to cap recharge?
I noticed the same with Javalin Rockets. I packed my crow with these things and found that my CROW is slower than my Raven. WTF???
Is something fubar'd or is this the way it was intended, because if it is I can't see a reason for even using the small T2 ammo on any ship.

It just seems screwed up. I spent the time to train the needed skills only to find out that it's unbearable.

They do but not much, however they usually require more CPU/PG to equip. The only differences between the Arbalest Rocket launcher and the t2 version is the t2 one has a slightly higher capacity (0.1m3) and requires 4tf more CPU. Everything else is the same.
The difference is the ammo used, which is where my problem lies.

You are right, however my issue isn't with the "mods" but rather the ammo used in those mods.
I did a little checking and found the t2 torp's of the same type only give a -20% reduction in cap recharge rate. Anyone else think this is a little off? Shouldn't it be higher and not lower?
btw Kate, how is ASCN? It's been awhile since I was a member.

For the sake of argument you could fit 6 rockets and get -270%. Granted anyone in their right mind would never do that.

True, but when it matters (ie Combat) it becomes an issue on many levels. If you fly around without any ammo ready to fire, you find yourself at a disadvantage having to take 10 seconds to load your ammo.
