There's quite a few pirates in Sarum today ambushing people at the jump-in point. So don't go there unless you have a large force to chase them away.
The Eve Marshals don't have the manpower to do such a large operation ourselves, plus the servers are unstable today.

One of my alts was unfortunate enough to make the mistake of going through there last night fairly soon after the server came back up after the reboot.
I had just decided to create a character to do missions and put him in a shiny new Punisher (thank god!) equiped with afterburners 1's and standard injectors.
I was on my way to my new agent and made it 2 whole jumps before I was killed. LOL
My first mistake was having my autopilot set to the shortest route instead of the safest. I even checked the map to see how many kills had happened on my intended route. The map showed 2 kills in 24 hours so I felt the odds were in my favor. Guess I was the third kill. Does the 2 kills in 24 hours really mean 2 kills since the server came up? If so then that needs to be fixed!!
My second mistake was not looking to see how many people were in the system before I jumped and not listening to public chatter.
Oh well, live and learn. It was funny to warp through the gate and by the time the screen loaded I was back in my starting station. The funny part is that my starting station is where I was heading anyway. It saved me a 1/2 hour flight. :)

Complainer! Without pirates what would you do fly around and mine? There would be no market for ships and ammo. There is no content wars.
Very Simple Answer: You don't like pirates? DO something about it! You to scared to do anything than Shutup and stay away from Pod Kill areas. Ya know... The MAP in game shows you a HUGE Green dot that shows pod kills.

Rats complaints are worse then "carebears". Usually these forays into low sec space are the result of the rats getting their "biomass" fed to them. They can taunt, they can whine, camping a dropin=EXTREME TALENT at PvP;which all of em claim to have. But if its in the game, its in the game.

The Biomass pilots decided to flee or log instead of fight a fleet equipped for action rather than the usual haulers and passerbys that they ambush.

i think it funny how you blame ccp for your tactics lets think what is ther to do in 00 space mine the rares and hunt the good npcs so i would think there should be more people in 00 space i personaly pass through p3 all the time to get to 00 space but you lamers are too buissy killing people at jumpin points to camp a gate and get something worthwile. its corps like biomass that give pirates a bad name so i refuse to reginize them as pirates they are just lamers to me.

I ran accross a real pirate today...a Gentleman from Redskull paladins what ever. Going to keep calling him Gramp.
There was three of us hunting in a 0.0 way out of the way. Thought we were cool out there takeing on the NPC rats. Along comes Gramps, I thought I was prepared for combat. My ceo comes flying in and ends up right next to him. My other mate and i have already started the shooting and 8 wasp were in bound on him. he kept comming. I was thinking GET OUT OF HIS RANGE!!! So thats where I was heading, my CEO gets out in his pod, my other mate he is getting shot up pretty bad so I needed to get back into my range..I fly a thorax. Well mate decides time to leave, my shields are getting busted, so I warp out after he target jams me. CBL lost one Rupture 8 Wasp drones
redskulls lost some shields.
Now That is a pirate for you.

KIESARKUS(I believe is his name) was with another m8 hunting ppl honorably in Sarum Prime a few days before BIO-Mass made a new sand box(He was in his own Pirate corp). Anyhow, I respond in a Lvl3 Cruiser. They are in one of the belts. After two belts I find them about 80km from me. They asked if they could help me(i think), and I said lets dance. I said if I win I will not take their corpse and they agreed to do the same. They were able to take me out within a few mins while one of em was Damaged Critically. They showed respect and honor. I left peacefully in a ibis and they showed no further agression to me. Good Fight Guys. If both of you joined Bio-Mass, I hope you understand that you joined a very untalented bunch of pirates. I hope you can teach them the way to do it right or join a skilled group of Pirates who know how to play AS a pirate. Space Invaders or PLD would be a good choice. right now BIO-Mass is a group of terrorists.

All this crying on the boards, I wonder they havent been flushed away yet. This game features pirates. BUT this game also features a map, which is an useful source of information, if you just use it. Simply avoid systems, that are belov 0.5 and have witnessed multiple podkills the last 24h. Is this so hard to do?
Also there are corps, claiming to be anti-pk, why not? PvP is PvP, no matter on which side you play. BUT, if you are not able, to organize a counterstrike, then simply stay away and stop this crying. Its simply pathetic.
Another point: Stop mentioning RL politics on this board. None American player is responsible for the fact, that GW Bush is a mothertrucker.

I can only assume that Biomass is just trying to lure all you dumbasses into the stew. They perfectly understand how unfair it is to kill at the jump in. You dont have to tell them how low a tatic it is, they know. And it would be a dream come true if you did bring a bunch of your friends to chase them away. They are bored and your there little play things. I personally think its the coolest damn thing ive seen in an online game. Keep on slappin CCP in the face with there nerfs, please.

Your intel is off Tank. Registered Biomass contacts in Sarum Prime at the time of our operational shift in-system was 5 / five. You might have had ONLY 2 BS' available at the time, but the odds were pretty even.
Oh and if you had two BS to face us, that would even that ship class out on both sides, but you should be the last to complain about being outgunned.
As we gained control of the system, more BS' from other corporations moved in to consolidate and join in on the hunt. As it should be.

I am not a pirate.. :-) I am someone that knows better. I have never been podded. (yet) why? Because I stay away from BIG GREEN dots on the map, which clarify the pirate activity/pod kills.
My opinion on all this is... You don't like pirates then do something about it! Biomass is looking for a fight, so bring it to them. Nitalya build up some corps and go get them...
You control your own destiny in this "game".
