Edited by: Shahadet on 07/08/2006 17:33:41 So I was gone for years from EvE and just came back. The question is should I just regen and start over fresh? I have about 1 mil in skills already and all the learning (non advance) at 4 or 5. Is clinging to my mesly 1 mil skillpoints worth having to live with being listed as 3+years in the noob corp? Or should I just bite the bullet and nuke my old PC from orbit?

Reroll the toon. Go with Achura character, you can tailor your toon how you need it.

It depends on your attributes, however if they're well-balanced then I'd certainly keep the character and continue to use it. Training up learning skills is boring, having a character that's already got them trained allows you to train more useful and fun skills immediately.
One possible downside, though, is that you might be mistaken for an alt and perhaps denied membership in a corporation.

Yeah I've already started to have issues with the ALT tag. Got podded the other night because someone thought I was a macromining alt. He was cool about it though paid me back once the miss understanding was worked out.

If I were yaou I would keep the Avatar and stats because they can be useful.
Better charisma you will not need straight away and thats always a good start.
If you want to join a Teamwork orientated corp convo me ingame.
We will help you get popped without being called an alt.

Edited by: Kari K****a on 07/08/2006 18:13:26 Kind of sad that people pod you because you're in a supposed "newbie" corp for a long period of time. Maybe take off their tinfoil hats long enough to realize that the starter corps can actually be fun places to play with the drama and demands that come with player corps.
I would certainly stick with your character and take advantage of one of the kind people above's offers, if you like.

Keep it. Think of it as starting a new player that has 1 mil skill points, and has been around a year. People will look at your age and avoid combat with you.
