Oceanus is now being deployed to Tranquility! The server is expected to be up at 13:00 UTC.
The release brings a host of additions and fixes to the game including the launch of French localization; new cloaking effects; the beginnings of the module Tiericide; an overhauled opt-in notification system; new burner missions; easier importing and exporting of fittings; and many more.
Check out the release page for Oceanus here, and read the dev blog Coming in Oceanus by the Executive Producer for EVE Online, CCP Seagull.
Most of all remember to fly safe.
Please post any issues you come across in this thread. For general feedback regarding Oceanus, please visit the Oceanus feedback thread.
Known issues:
Due to Space Object Factory changes, stations will appear as exclamation points on the overview. This is a bug, not a feature.
Issues with playing in French:
Support ticket categories are not yet configured in client. Please use the Community website to submit support tickets in French.
Various small mistranslations/terminology issues/inconsistencies. Fixing these will be an ongoing process, but please feel free to bug report where you find specific instances, with annotated screenshots where practical.
Some overlaps or truncated text due to UI elements. Please provide screenshots when bug reporting these.

We are holding off on turning on the Notifications (for risk mitigation) as they are a beta feature, but you should expect to be able to enable them very soon, we just need to validate they are usable. Feel free to poke me on: Twitter |

Releasing more often and in regular intervals has a lot of advantages for software releases of high complexity, especially in terms of fixing issues and introducing new features. If you warp to an old jumpbridge bookmark, you can not cloak, because there is a jump portal array within 2000 mtrs. The actual bridge is more than 5 Km away. Tested multiple systems. Everwhere the same issue.

My Client cant keep a stable connection, it keeps lagging out and disconnecting about every minute to 2 minutes (was fine for the first 20 minutes then it started) and there was a delay on a mission spawning, I waited for a bit then warped off and back and it spawned. Only bugs I discovered so far...
and again, DC'd, it is getting VERY irritating |

Recovering probes from inside 2000m decloaks you.
If i drop probes, move slightly so that the probes are inside 2000m you remain cloaked until you recover the probes.
I've tested it a few ways, and you don't decloak if you recover from outside 2000m, or recover probes immediately after hitting cloak (presumably for the same reason you can still activate an MWD for a few seconds after cloaking).
Tested with prototype and cov ops cloak. |

The new tab interface squished it down, but with a small tweak to window size and turning on small station service icons, I have all but completely brought it back to its old glory. THE KING OF EVE RADIO

You're wrong. And it's not a patch, it's a offline installer full client. It worked before Oceanus. |

On the Market Window, Details tab, if you check lets say two products without closing the Market, before Oceanus you could click on the << >> buttons to go back and forth the two products you previously checked. The <<>> icons are still there (next to the new gear settings icon) but do not work anymore!!!! |

I can no longer play the game.
After the update, I played for a few minutes before getting an error saying my graphics driver has failed and recovered. The game went to a black screen and I had to manually shut it down. I log back in, even with safe mode, and see the character select screen. After that, I get a black screen, the same driver failure error, and the game finally shuts itself down. I ran the repair utility and tried to log in again. Same black screen and the game shuts down.
My NVIDIA graphics driver is fully updated. I'm using DX9. The launcher says that is all I can use. "Hey, this is my kind of rain.-á No wonder the sky looked funny today."-á -Dante

I can no longer see the game. After downloading the patch, I was playing for a few minutes before I received a message that my graphic driver failed and had been recovered. The game went black and I had to shutdown. When I tried to log back in, I see the character select screen and then blackness with the same driver failure message. This is on both normal and safe mode.

Horribly annoying wallet bug. When the wallet is open, as you click on market orders to check them, then click back to the wallet, the black underpart of the wallet with tax info, etc grows vertically, squishing out your orders.

On my third attempt of installing the patch but it keeps failing at 4/4. Tried the repair tool but it failed as well. I am downloading the whole game client again and will try that if this third attempt fails again. Not sure what else to do.... |

A minor issue regarding missing pictures of stations when selected from the overview. The selected item will show an exclamation mark instead of the actual station. When clicking on the picture (magnifying symbol) it shows fine in the extra window though. Should i do anything when all 3 things on my ship are fully red?

Launcher Failed to update got stuck at applying patch. Tried this twice.
Ran repair tool and got that error, rebooted computer and ran another repair tool same error, tried starting the exefile from the bin folder that didnt worked nither.
Removed the Checksums, Client_validation fiels from the launcher cache and are now downloading the patch yet again. |

My drone tracking is completely nerfed. Running a typical horde that I've been running for months and now I'm missing 80% of the timeat usual ranges??? I re-booted and re-logged, same issue. I've cycled my Omni's, same problem. it's acting like the Omni's aren't adding to the optimal range like they should. My isk/hour is down at least 20%. I've tried without Optimal range scripts, no luck. I'm fiddling with it to see if it's a range or tracking issue.
Typical T2 loadout on a Domni's running Drone Hordes and Patrols, I do this in my sleep. I know my ranges for Curators/Wardens to a hair. The Isk/hour says it all..... |

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this one. But seems each time I update a buy/sell order from the wallet and the number values change on the wallet. The columns width changes and gets skinnier each time. taking up the room that was used to view the order list.

Planetary products issue: In the past, in each product's production info tab there was a link to the schematic. Clicking on (i) would reveal the subproducts necessary for its production. You could travel all the way up (and down) from basic extractables to tier 4 advanced products.
Now this leads to a generic schematic item with a generic description, not at all helpful for PI planning. |

I have a serious issue with the patch size being 680mb when there are no real features added in this patch.
So am I giving up nearly 700mb of hard drive space for a cloaking effect and module names being changed?
If so this patch is really a downgrade. If you're going to make the client larger at least make some real changes to the game. |

Not certain if this is by design, never really checked before today... but when using combat boosters, the penalties listed in UI above the system info is not the same as the penalty listed under augmentations. Here is me with a strong booster only showing armor penalty when I actually have two penalties according to the active UI info.

Not sure if this is related to Oceanus or not but I noticed that when I just put a Manufacturing job for Nanite Repair paste together, I was limited to 51 runs. I have enough supply for a total of 132 runs, but I could not change the run quantity either up or down.
Like I said... not sure if this is oceanus related or not But this issue didn't crop up until after the deployment.

Even after running the repair tool, then downloading EVE again, then running the repair tool AGAIN - I'm still unable to log on.

Not sure if I'm the only one who is having this issue, but your new cloaking effect is causing me motion sickness on high shaders. It was subtle at first, took about 10-20 jumps on a non-covert ship before I started to notice it. So I took the cloaky hauler out and zoomed in on it while cloaked/uncloaking/cloaking and the head fuzziness really set in...
Like the last time a graphics change caused problems (new warp tunnels and the jump gates), I turned graphics settings and shaders down until it went away.... Whatever is going on between medium and high shaders is causing this. You fixed warp tunnels and jump gates for most of us in Kronos (I think), so what's going on here with the cloak?
Beyond this thing, I am enjoying all the responsiveness boosts in the industry and market windows, the changes made there have helped speed up what I do on a day to day basis. Really enjoying the upgrade you did on being able to preview the 2%/4% blueprint before inventing it, that has helped decide on whether items are worth inventing or not. |

The new cloaking effect is drastically increasing the amount of time you appear on overview after hitting cloak.
Jump through Gate > Align > Cloak >Warp
You can be targeted for several seconds after hitting align > Cloak.
Blockade runners will now be totally unable to run blockades
Also getting a warning telling me I cannot cloak as I am within 2000m of a jump portal array, even though its 9 km away. It seems that if you warp to an old bookmark for an array that was moved in this patch, the game is still considering the array to be exactly where it USED to be and not letting you cloak. |

Same problem here. Win7 x64, Nvidia Geforce GTX 670, Geforce 344.11 Driver. Can we expect a fix on this or just lower our graphic settings for the coming years until a new cloak anim ?
I would point that I tested this feature on Singularity a week before release and it worked well ...

Running the Oceanus client on Mac OS X 10.9.5, I so far had one client crash while in space (nothing special, traveling between gates). Also, Cmd-Tabbing to the desktop and later back to the EVE client has resulted in a "white screen" EVE client crash at least three times now. All this in a couple of hours today -- not good!  |

Not sure if this is a multi-boxing thing or not, but when warping to my Rorq pilot I hear the machine noises that it makes, the ones that you normally hear at 5km zoom, however all of my toons are zoomed out to 50+km and wouldn't normally hear it. |

OCEANUS ISSUES:
- STATION NAME CONFLICT: Very accidentally discovered that the station "New Caldari Prime - Moon 1 - Poksu Mineral Group Mineral Reserve" is listed when docked and in "Assets" BUT the actual station name listed in the OVERVIEW is confusingly named: "New Caldari I (Matigu) - Poksu Mineral Group Mineral Reserve". It caused a conflict when desiring to "warp to" and instead "docked" me to the closest station I was at in New Caldari.
- CLOAKING GRAPHICAL ERROR: When a ship is cloaked, the ship has what first looks like "faded lines" from one angle, then strange static "8-bit-looking" pattern of squares from another, and sometimes absolute graphical static-"noise" before decloaking. I was only able to see the intended "fluidic glowing energy" effect only by zooming out atop my ship at "just the right spot". This is not my graphic system. This effect is the only graphical error that is as clear as day (no "clear" cloak pun intended). Different clients/computers are seeing different things.. for me, if Shader Quality is on "High", the glitch is more polygonal-looking, but when set to "Medium" the glitch is extremely flat (2-dimensional) and static.
- CLOAKING VOLUME: There is no volume option to adjust the cloaking effect sound. It is prominently LOUDER than any other sound level included/associated with its "World Level" volume setting category, especially after a gate jump. Either give the cloaking effect it's own volume control (like you do for turrets, etc), or lower it to match the rest of the environment of "World Level" sounds.
- CLOAKING EFFECT: Perhaps this is due to the graphical "cloaking artifact error" currently being displayed/experienced, but when warping cloaked (5+ minutes), it can become visually disorienting/nauseating - unless you zoom far away, but then: what's the point of having a "new effect" if you can only "enjoy" it when purposely not actually looking at it?
- ACTIVE SHIP WINDOW: The "Active ship" window never stays open (memorized to be open) when you re-dock at any (or same) station. All other opened Inventory UI windows remain "remembered" open.
- BOOKMARKS: Bookmarks seem "shifted", between 2Km to 10 Km from their originally set location(s).
ISSUES STILL NOT FIXED, BUT POSTED IN HYPERION ISSUES (which oddly has been deleted from the forums):
- INDUSTRY UI INPUT/OUTPUT: The INDUSTRY UI is NOT "remembering" previously used INPUT/OUTPUT locations for SOME Industry jobs. Sometimes it remembers, sometimes it does not. Results: Unproductivity, agonizingly slow mass producing 20-50 items, making a session 1-2 hours of game time used setting manufacturing slots.
- UNDOCKING: Upon undocking from any station, the camera view is maximumly "zoomed-in/close" forcing one to constantly "zoom out" before getting any axis-orientation ("bearings"). This still has been an unresolved bug for several months, w/promises of resolution. NOTE: this problem is regardless of ship size (i.e. shuttle or freighter).
- EVEMAIL/NOTIFICATIONS - "READ" vs. "UNREAD": This has been ongoing for at least two years, though, with all the "ebb and flow" of its occurence, this issue has been increased in its prevalence: READ mail is showing up as UNREAD, in no re-producible fashion. Some days, read mail from a year ago comes up as "unread". What is fascinating about this error is that, when using a 3rd person app (in my case, "Dusk" for iphone 5), such apps PROPERLY interpret old (read) mail as read. Logging into the game, however is a different story (and pattern) every time. Yes, we've been through the clearing of cache, settings, in fact, an entirely new computer and new eve.exe installation has proven this is a bug within the game code.
- INDUSTRY LOOPING ERROR: Occasionally, the entire Industry functionality will simply "stop functioning" (it will not allow the submission of any jobs, with a persistently lopping error stating: "The price of the job has changed". Closing the Industry UI window and reopening it "fixes" (resets?) it for functionality.
- INDUSTRY UI NOISE ERROR: The INDUSTRY UI makes its now-signature Industry UI "clink-buzz" noise whenever there is activity of a mouse pointer occurs in a windows "layered" atop of its window boundaries "underneath". It forces the Industry UI to "FLASH" black for a moment and triggering the "Industry-gear-sprocket" noise everytime.

When lowering to med shader it doesnt get the all-over-hexagon-2d-thing but from certain angles there's some sort of distorted overlay instead. Also, the overlay doesn't scale with zooming so if you zoom out a little your ship cloaking/uncloacing will be covered in just a couple of 2 dimensional hexagon overlay. Looks weird, although I like the actual cloaking effect itself. Make it more like the gate-cloak. That looks good. |

Currently, playing EVE on the Mac is not an option for me, even though it used to be fine before. The machine is as up-to-date as it can be, by the way. This is highly frustrating. |

Yeah there is an issue. I tracked it down to shader setting- on low and medium the transition is nice and clean, on high there's the 2D hexas and some strange multicolor pixelation artifactions along the transition line.

Maybe others don't care but it makes me uncomfortable to read your post if you have not changed the settings before and after installing the patch, there is no reasons it malfunctions. I use seven and I have not been able to find "pref.ini" file, maybe I looked in the wrong place or I don't have one.
In your first post, the IP address is not the same as that used in the next posts.
- Are you able to do a DNS lookup of the IP (nslookup) address? - Can you use the freeware CurrPorts to see what happens?
You did not specify but do you use the launcher or client (exefile.exe)?
I have a problem with the launcher being stuck after displaying the server is online and specifies the number of players (I opened a Bug Report giving as much informations as I can, I can't do more).
But! No problem if I run the client directly. If it helps you ...
Servers on the Internet can not respond to ping (ICMP) is quite normal. |

i went through a stargate in my bestower, it has cargo rigs and a full rack of cargo expanders, it could easily hold what i was carrying at the time.
problem: when i went through a stargate it shut off my rack of expanded cargohold II's and kept me from jumping after that. It forced me to jettison some cargo, dock, turn the mods back on and then go back and pick up my cargo that i had jettisoned. Yawn,-á I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really. |

After this minute the client loads correctly?
Could you please send a bug report about this, if you haven't done so yet? It would be best, if you could do it through the client (F12), otherwise please grab logs through logserver (check the bug reporting link in my signature) and attach it to the bug report.

Ok, it seems I have tracked down what causes the extended black screen. The new notification feature.
When I have it enabled, it does the extended black screen, when I have it disabled, there is no extended black screen.
I have submitted a bug report on this matter. Clearing the cache did nothing to resolve it. |

Tool tips in the system map are not showing anymore.
e.g. cant tell the name of a bookmark by hovering over it on the sys map, cant tell planet/moon names etc...

Likewise, when I had the new Notifications feature turned on, it took about a minute to get past the black screen after launching the client. Disabling the new Notifications and I'm straight in as always, almost no delay on the black screen.
If it helps, I've already seen my first mega-list of notifications, 510, and cleared it, so this delay is for a character with no, or very few, pending new notifications. |

Jumping a wormhole screws up the cooldown timer thingy on the modules. It shows a full cooldown timer after a jump on a cloaking device but there actually is no timer and it only starts counting down the timer after a couple of seconds.... while the cloak is active again already...

The top half of the Industry window should only open/expand, when you select "Use Blueprint". It is not necessary nor desirable to have it open at any other time.
Most of the time, you just want to check the status of Industry jobs in progress, in the lower half of the window. If you have a lot of jobs running, this requires a lot more scrolling than with the old UI, since the less-frequently-used top half of the window is fixed in size and takes up too much screen space.
At the very least, please add an option to manually resize or minimize the top half of the Industry window. Or consider changing the layout from a top/bottom format to a right/left format.

Wanted to give some longterm Crius feedback/Issues, no clue if this is the right spot.
The new UI is so laggy and slow if u have huge amount of blueprints, that we resorted to store all BPC in containers and move them in/out of a personal hangar as needed.
Its a pain to even open the new UI if u have 10k+ possible BPC, since the window now stalls and somehow needs to "rebuild" the bpc list, even if u have already selected a filter to only show a fraction of the total possible bpc.
In general the UI feels way more slower and unresponsive, if u have a huge BPC collection, to the point where manually moving them from a personal to corp hangar per batch is now more preferable for us.
My point to CCP is, analyze why the new UI is so slow and unresponsive with huge BPC collections and cache, optimize this, so we can leave all BPC in corp hangars, instead of artificially "hiding" them so your UI becomes bearable. I suspect some form of caching will reduce those "hickups" and hangs considerably.

The display of the actual reprocessing percentage also still appears to ignore RX-80X implants. Same percentage shown with and without implant. Units of minerals received certainly does change.

It seems that the Concord database has been hacked into by a virus known as Marmite............
This seems to be spreading wildly and is affecting even Non-Corp members !
100+ war's, I hear you cry but emails from Concord to guys who have left corp a long time ago ? C'mon Concord - check your databases for signs of this evil "Spreading"............
Seriously tho CCP .......... I have Ex corp members reporting emails from Concord about a Marmite Dec incoming even tho they left Loony weeks ago !
Please investigate.

I suspect this is to do with the application of skills (character 2 has a lower skill than character 1 for the bonus). Bug report sent. |
