AFAIK, you need the science research skills at the same level the agent has. If you show info on the agent it will tell you what skills they have, like Nuclear Engineering etc.
You need the same skill at the same level to start a research project or do missions for that agent.
That's what i understand anyway, if im wrong , someone else will help out.

You are right.
R&D agents dont give missions in the way other agents do.
You accumulate research points with them for the tiny chance of getting a t2 bpo. You can do one mission per day with your R&D agent (if you are researching with him) and you get souble research points for that day for completing it.

Edited by: kanakuma on 10/08/2006 03:13:17 You need science lvl 5 and electronic or mechanic or enginering at lvl 5 for Rd agent. You also need another skill depends to area you want do research like starship enginering /rockets or someone else. general advice take your skill to lvl 3 and go to lvl 3 agent minimum btw you need unmodified standings to use R&d agents. You may need some missions for agents company

True

False
Just having the same skill as the agent is enough.

Your skill can be higher, but not lower.

Why don't you just try it? You'll see then who's got the facts and who doesn't.

i started my lvl4 r/d agent as soon as i had trained the skill to lvl1.
Every time my skill went up a level, so did my RP / day
