Thank you CCP! This is exactly the kind of patch I was hoping you could produce!
Finally time for me to leave lowsec and head back out to nullsec.
Best dev blog I have ever read! Eve is going to get exciting again. Ignore all these f1 monkeys crying for their capital drops. |

To all you nullsec cap droppers that are complaining... take a moment to really consider what this will do to eve.
Finally space will be vast again. No instantly dropping all your caps anywhere you wish. There will be a greater emphasis on strategy and teamplay rather than the current drop on any group smaller than you play.
I applaud CCP for having the courage to make a major change like this. I have been playing since 2010 and have been waiting the whole time for nullsec to get shaken up.
Any subs you may loose from this you will gain 10X more new players and corporations that finally have a chance to carve out a chunk of null for themselves instead of being forced to rent. |

To all you complainers... is it reasonable to be mad at changes that will fix null just because you don't want your cap's mobility nerfed? Caps are too powerful for instant travel anywhere. If you disagree you are a cancer to the game.
This will fix so many issues with null and it's coming soon. For all you threatening to unsub there are plenty of people ready to play eve again and excited to finally get a chance to play in null without being in or renting from a powerbloc
If you look at other game forums like mmorpg.com and reddit you will find many people have unsubbed from eve BECAUSE of the out of control power projection and cap drops on everything.
CCP will gain many players from this, many more than you whiners complaining and threatening to quit. You complain because you care. People that care don't quit.

Mr. Hypothetical Eve Player has a choice, run a freighter op with his alliance for 6 hours, which he cant leave, being out in the middle of nowhere. Or Play Elite Dangerous.
Boredom or Fun Tedium or Fun How much of the benefits of this op will he see? Or Fun Soul Crushing Monotony... OR FUN
Yes i'm a naysayer, yes eve is dead bla bla, yes yes yes.
But, I know which i'm going to pick.
If you think threatening to quit over an instanced arcade space shooter will change CCP's mind you should go take a nap kid.
More people are unhappy with the stagnation of nullsec that are happy with it. All you whiners that are sad you can't drop you cap into every fight need to realise you don't need to have that cap there to have fun. Bring anything else and the game will be fun.
You don't need to drop you caps onto subcaps with 0 risk to enjoy eve you nullbears. |

Christopher Multsanti wrote:I have never enjoyed large scale warfare or capital battles. I only use a carrier on an alt for moving stuff. It's very handy.
I understand the problems that have been created by large groups and them having no restriction on their range of capital deployment. I really do. But these changes punish all players. The only way these changes would work would be if you brought out a hauler type carrier with the same skill requirement as current carriers but with same bonuses as jump freighters for traveling.
In general I think these changes are far to severe. I would say a realistic time for you get help from a cap fleet half way on other side of the galaxy at 2-3 hours. Maybe tweek the fatigue calculation so that for the first example in appendix a that the guy who gave up in his carrier because his wait time was crazy. Could make that trip in 2-3 hours. The point being that journey should be possible.
If you can't understand that instantly jumping around the most powerful ship in the game while only risking a cyno alt is a problem then you need to do some critical thinking.
It's been a joke that the most powerful class of ships can travel instantly and 100% risk free this whole time. Finally cap pilots will have to risk something like every other class of ship for their rewards. |

BuddyKnife wrote:To all the people who say that large scale logistics is not needed or that it should be nerfed more to break up the large blocks. I am sorry to inform you this is an empire building game a large portion of the players play this game for that exact reason. If you take away our empire you take away our reason to play.
Please change back the JF and Rorqual jump range till you have fixed the T1 mineral distribution and made a meaningful attempt at making all T2 materials available in all parts of space. Maybe ring mining?
@CCPgreyscale @CCPdev
If you think that being a logistics pilot in a power bloc has anything to do with building an empire you are delusional.
You are a puppet to your leaders. You don't need a few guys telling thousands how to play to build an empire. With these changes you can have a couple hundred people working together to build an actual empire, not be puppets for one that already exists. |
