I got my inty skill to 3 and destroyer to 2 so all i need is one more skill level in interceptors and 3 more in destroyer. But before I go and train for one, I want to know if it is good at pirating solo. Whats the biggest target it could take on? Also, someone said that it takes a while to train for the stuff used on a interdictor but I didn't know what that person ment by that, so if anyone can clear this up that would be great!

You should be in a ship having fun now. You need to try it out in perhaps a Destroyer. You may loose but the interdictor is much the same so you get an idea of your abilities.
dictor may be able to hang with a T1 cruiser under certain circumstances. Of course there is no backing out :P

well, tbh , you have to spend some time training for T2 small guns to be a solo killer with your sabre...
go for an all damage setup avoiding tank (cant tank in an interdictor imo), use good speed and overall agility of your ship to orbit close to your target avoiding be hit
and have fun :)

You would do better in a t1 cruiser anyday.Not even by a little,its not even funny.
Dictors are for 1 thing only and thats warp bubbles.

Sabre...hmmm....i'd suggest fit t2 artys with good range and sniper anything frig-size. Gives you an excellent alpha damage while ab/mwd should keep you at range long enough to kill the oppents. Perhaps it would also work against some cruisers which are fitted for short- or middle-range...dunno...
(my thrasher was toasted because i fitted ACs which didn't work well enough vs. drones  so i've no experience with artys on that)
