The important eve-mail messages I get, such as notification of a skill being done or a nice offer.. I only see if I am logged into the game.
Real E-mail on the other hand would be very useful for me. I work on my computer all day so I recieve email pretty much instantly.
I would love an option to have my eve-mail cc'd to my regular email account.

Not likely to happen, the whole idea is that CCP wants you to login. Same with skill training etc.

This has come up as a suggestion before. I think the main problem then was the sheer quantity of emails TQ would be sending out, and I can't imagine that would have improved now.

not likly it will happend, why would CCP support ingame mails to come to your regular mail account when they want you in-game and not out of game
but one thing i miss is forum reply to be sent to my mail (in-game or out of game) just so i know when i get a response on a thread.

Oh, you could just modify EVEMon to dial into Skype to your phone, and play back Skill Completed for you, if you really want that.

Can I suggest better wording in your threads.
"Eve Mail of no use" is wildly inaccurate, when you seem to be saying "wouldn't this be a great enhancement to it?".
One is helpful, the other is offensive and boarding on ignorance/arrogance.

I have a list of 20-30 people in my eve mail with messages I want to keep, when I get a new one theres no marking of where it is except for a little "1 unread of 4" which is easy to miss.
I'd just like colour highlighting for new mail :(
Also, the bandwidth for sending email would be many many times less than the bandwidth of someone logging in just to check them. Linking them would be amazing, although I'd rather bug fixes etc.

Yes, that would indeed be great!
Also, the weird lag I get when I open my evemail inbox is annoying. I keep a fair amount of EVEMails and every time I open it it's a freeze-client-for-a-second moment.

High numbers of mails will cause lag. The only fix is to reduce the number of mails you store.

Why should they be bothered if we're actually logged in or not? It isn't making them any more money than the original amount we pay a month. However, saying that, I don't think that this would be easily implimented due to, as someone already said, the sheer amount of email that would have to be sent, and therefore the extra stress on the servers etc.

Because, put bluntly, players/people are sheep.
Basically, players attract players. Therefore, in order to attract more players then need to have players logged in.
