I've just bought a giant secure container and was wondering if I left it anchored in space how long would it stay there coz I paid like 150,000 for it. It also says that it can only hold up to a certain amount of cargo in it but I've put loads of ore in it already and it still filling up, how much can it hold?

Afaik the containers will stay in space forever as long as they are anchored. The Giant container can hold 3900m3.

Thats abouth 12,000 units of plag if I remember correctly or 20,000 units scord

its actually 25000units of scordite, I filled two last night, and I still need more trit/pyrite

I never used a secure tainer before... but what can move a giant secure tainer? an indy?

secure containers are crap later on :) fill the damned things in just a few minutes.

Indies are the only things with the cap to haul out a Giant Secure cann, or if you can fit 7 24.5% spanders (or better) you MAY be able to haul one. At the moment my bestower is closing in on being able to haul 3 giant secures. All I have really used them for is dropping a cann full of ammo at a spawn point, Hybrid ammo weighs a tonne, so lugging in all to site in my Megathron leaves me with very little cargo space for loot.
So I use the Giant Secure anchored in space as my ammo store and I have a 2nd giant secure anchored at 180km from the spawn site for dropping off choice loot for later retrieval, means I can stay fighting for longer, which is always nice.
Their usage in a roid field is very limited when a standard "spat-out" cann can hold so much more ore. But, of course, you run the risk of cann looters, which is of course not a problem as I mine in 0.3 space so if an Indie tries to steal they get warp jammed and hammered from my Launcher and drones. So it is not worth their time :) But as I normally mine in a corp op, There are often more ships than a lone looter would care to take on alone. So mining into "spat-out" canns is safe enough.

Thanks for the info man :)... Thats what i needed. I'm in deep 0.0 space most of the time.. i could use a couple of secure tainers there.

We are using alot of secure containers, the simple reason is that we have divided our mining teams and are only having one hauler left in high sec space. We have a Itheron MKV which can load 3 giant secured and then we deploy containers in groups of 3 so that our newer members can mine into them.
How much ore you can load into one container depends but right klick the ore you want to load and divied the cont volym with the volume of the ore.
ex (Giant cont 3900/0.3 pyroxeres = 13000)
