Not really. Hand control+deck manipulation+ferox/moa = no rushes working.
In theory at least. Any deck is only as good as it's draw :P

Hmm. Even if you pull your locations you won't be able to play a Ferox until your third turn *at the earliest* and it would still require assembly. A Moa would take even longer. A good Minmatar deck could easily have four or more ships in play in that same time frame. I'm still puzzled as to how you think you could hold them off.

Firstly, you have hand destruction, which precludes a player - Minmatar or otherwise - from having everything they need for an effective strategy. You also have fast deck manipulation/draw via Info at a Cost and Market Research Center to get what you need.
Secondly, the deck does run its own ships, too - Kestrels and Merlins are very effective anti-rush ships.
Third, the card has some starbase shield bonus cards, too.
Im not saying it's immune to rushing. Minmatar rush is an effective tactic. But I've played it against rush decks, and it does not have a bad record against them. I think the problem at the minute - especially if Minnie rush has won GCUS, and since there seems to be a lot of discussion about people wishing the game was slower - is that people don't quite understand how to build against or how to play against a rush deck.

Can you remind me what House of Animosity and Feed on the Weak do? I don't have the cards and I don't think there is a database up yet with card text.
Also, at Gencon Minmatar decks made up 7 of the top 8, with the other one being Caldari.

If you check the general forum (or the eve-ccg channel in game) there's a link to Linerra's complete card database.
House lets any player discard a card at the end of his turn to make all other players do the same.
Feed gives you 2 ISK each time an opponent discards a card.

so you make your opponent discard and get money for it? that seems brutal...and any deck that is slower to start is going to be weak to a beatdown deck, but that's just how it is..thats metagaming..if every deck in a touney was an aggro beater deck a slower deck isnt going to be the right choice...every deck has a weakness...
