Hi everyone, just to let you know to start off this isn't Heratix, it's Discombobulation. I couldn't log into mine for some reason and this is my first post so please don't flame :)
Well whats happening is I have just started to play this game with a few mates and a few of us are free trial accounters, but we are buying a couple of months. A corp which has been playing for 2 - 3 years have started a war against us and they're just bullying really. We've got ships like frigates and a cruiser or 2 and their CEO has an Archon or something which is a "bleeding" carrier!
They have started coming into our space and started to pod a few of us. We're only flying the littlist ships we can so we don't lose much. We shuldn't have to do this in a game, where's the reason for starting the "war". So much of a war if you start on people who've just start and you've been around for years. That's like Britain going against Zanzibar.
My main reason for posting is to recruit :)
At the moment we can't really leave stations so I am trying to get people to come and help. We have a few contacts willing to put money into this and I can only offer 1 million ISK to each person - we are looking for up to 200 people.
If anyone wants to join please evemail Discombobulationalist

There's not much anyone can do about this. Maybe someone will enjoy helping out, probably not though. This is what the game is all about really. Dog eat dog, no holds bar, storming the lawn guns drawn... etc.
If it ticks you off... great, you'll likely still move from trial to paid membership with long term unspoken goals of retribution with no end in sight.
In the end, you might end up doing the same thing. Annoyed that an Alliance battle didn't go as planned, or you become a seasoned corporation and you war dec a newbie corp for your new recruits to have a taste for blood. It's just the way it is, even in Nature, Mother Tiger often incapacitates a very small prey to give to her cubs.
My advice, go along with it. Believe me, they will get bored fast with destroying your noob ships and long for a tasty HAC, battleship or more eye-catching killboard entries like Freighters and other carriers.

leave an alt in your corp, and everyone else resign back to npc corp.
You are correct, just some piYaARates looking for easy money.
Don't give them it :)

Is this in Empire? How do you get someone mad enough during a trial account to get war decced?

They felt like picking on any corp they could find and we were the unlucky ones :(
I don't want to buy an account just to be blown up all the time. I managed to start with over 250,000 skill points and I found out later that it's a 1 off chance you do that so it got me wanting to buy it. I now got 520,000 sp after 2 weeks and I'm thinking about buying it today. I can't leave an account like that.
Anyway, good replies and thanks. Discombobulation

This is going to sound like the worst suggestion in the world but...have you tried talking to them? (Gawd, I'm turning into my mum )
It might be a case of mistaken identity? Maybe its just the area your corp is stationed in? They might not realise you are new players?
If you have already spoken to them, did they say anything?

Theres only a few ways to beat them.
Attack them back - probably not an option since they are 17 people and at least 1 is quite old.
Disband to NPC corp and create a private chat corp channel - will work perfectly.
Find soloing members using an alt when they're mostly all offline and kill then. Make sure they're in a indy or something soft thats easily killable. Pod them too. Find out where they make their iskies and put some members in the same system, docked if you like, keep doing that repeatedly just to annoy them since they wont be able to peacefully go about making iskies with war targets in the system. Get alts and bump them, steal their ores, mission cans. Train alts up with scramblers and scramble them when they're gate camping etc so the sentries kill them. In a word, grief them till they drop the dec - lots of work, they're probably not worth it anyway

A solution would be to move, take everything you can carry and sell everything else on the market, wait untill theres few of them online or use scouts and move to the otherside of the universe.
Will they follow? Unlikely, theyd have to move all their combat ships, BPOS, Minerals, etc as well. If they do follow? Pick another corner of the universe and move there.
Eventually theyre gonna get bored as it costs them a lot more time then it costs you. -----

This is how to evade.
1. Move one system over.
2. Rejoice.
They can't move carriers in high-security space.

if you find people bein asshats then just leave if you can't challenge them directly. don't go into 0.4 or below for a bit until you get your entire corp into a position where you can show that you won't be pushed over anymore.

o.k this is what sometimes happens. New peeps in game start playing get in smack talking fest in local not realising that this can have major concequences (i'm not saying you have done this). Then come to forum saying i'm being picked on. Or lame ass griefers get kicks out of ruining the game as much as possible for you. Or established corp thinks ooo a new corp lets show them a bit of pvp maybe they will enjoy it and will enhance their game experience and if they do maybe they will join us. There are always several sides to a story imo. Also as you can only fly a carrier in lowsec thats where you must be living maybe mining jaspet or something. Maybe you are mining in the area that they like to mine in and are trying to drive you out.
