This will probably get me flamed all to hell but **** it, i'm gonna post anyway.
ATM an Ishtar is just an inferior Dom. It has the same drone dps, tho obviously a far inferior turret dps capability, it doesnt nos as much as the Dom, it doesnt tank as hard as a dom and has the same mids so has no EWAR advantage over a DOM.
The ishtar spends 1 of its bonuses to get a drone bay big enuff for multiple heavy drones, and thats what i think is the problem.
Rather than a ****ty Dom, id like it to be a better Vexor, like all the other HAC's, a better version of its tech 1 incarnation rather than an over priced BS wannabe.
So i thought:
Same slot layout, but 4 turrets instead of 3, ( Vexor has 4 turrets, its silly for the ishtar to retain its turret bonus but lose a turret slot)
Instead of a drone bay bonus, give it 100 m3 drone bay and an additional drone damage bonus. It's possible that would be horribly overpowered, using 4 heavy droens with the same damage as 10 heavies, in which case give it the same 75m3 drone bay as the Vexor.
I only really thought about this cos i really like Vexor as drone cruisr, but every time i think about training for an ishtar i have to remind myself i lose aturret, and dont get any more damage out of my drones. Sure, i can use heavies, but for a 3rd of the price i could just fly a Dom.
Id much prefer really high damage mediums and lights to crush cruisers and frigs.

We dont need another gunnery/dps hac!
Ishtar is fine as it is. Maybe the med gun damage bonus is a bit useless, but it does its job as a FASTER, more AGILE domi.

Im not trying to boost the Ishtar in any way, and the fact someone said it does its job as a faster more agile Dom shows the problem.
A HAC isnt meant to be a faster BS, its meant to be a better cruiser, which in its current form it isnt.

You compared domi with ishtar.
And Ishtar is good as is it now, and I know becouse I fly one. And you have higher dps in ishtar then in domi unless you have BS to lvl5.
Ishtar is smaller, have better resistance, faster. So I dont see what problem you have?
Deimos need some love but Ishtar is fine.

By asking for a boost to make the ishtar on par with the domi you should really ask for a boost to make ALL the HAC's on par with their respective BS matches.
HAC's are fine where they are. Of course they lack the raw slot/fitting/tanking advantages of BS but asking for a boost is a bit much.

You forgot to mention ishtar is much, much faster than the domi.
That counts for quite a bit.

The ishtar is perfect as it is. it holds one of the better tanks while still doing kick ass damage.. the huge problem with your post is that you are comparing a Cruiser to a BS. The ishtar is a very expensive cruiser, but still a cruiser.

So you're saying a Ishtar isn't better than a Vexor? 
A Ishtar is a drone boat, it doesn't need more freaking turret slots. If you want to use those, go with a Deimos.

An Ishtar's primary weapons are drones - if a pilot doesn't have the drone skills to use the ship effectively then it is more than likely the ship wont perform to its full potential. As with all other HACs they have their weaknesses as well as strengths...its just a case of finding a balance. A players skills govern how the ship performs, tactics and experience also play a part in its abilities.
But remembering that this ship is still a cruiser class vessel, expecting it to perform over those constraints by giving it different bonuses from what it has now is surely asking too much?

Ishtar is awesome, used to fly a domi all the time now im torn all the time between the two. Its tank compared to domi is crazy (i can tank with a single MARII what i cant with 2x LARII's on a domi)
