You make me sick, even if I'm no longer a pirate, quit whining. If you don't want to be pod killed or lose your ship, play Morrowind!!!
FFS, this is a MMoRPG game, there will be pvp and always pvp in a game like this. So if I were you people who whine about getting podded, look at the systems with high pod kill numbers, if you don't you shouldn't even complain because it's your fault for not being self-informed.
I want all you people who whine to think about it a little, do you want to play a game that you mine for 24/7 and do nothing else? If so, you are a hopless cause.

What people want to do is their business. But I get the feeling the lable carebears is put on everyone not thinking the same as a few in here, or share their point of views. Regardless, the so called carebears is the cashcow that fund this game... So death to carebears is death to the game itself....

What's wrong with Morrowind? Nothing like the feeling you get when you walk in a cave and a guy around the corner kills you in one hit while yelling at you, making you wet your pants.
Actually, it is quite similar to EVE in that respect.

Point is that CCP started to fix 'carebear' exploits and ban people for using it. And all this discusions of the 'carebaers' are a studip try to stop this.

PVP is not Content. PVP games require little to no content, they require balance more then content which slows down content creation.

and, for the record...
carebear = player who does not want to be killed for any reason what so ever. a person who feels that they should be allowed to do anything they want, (mine in 1.0 and 0.0 space alike) without another player killing them, and if they do get killed, its always a "grief" kill.
With that in mind, i only use the term in extreme circumstances.

I don't understand what all the moaning is about, if you don't want to be killed and want to mine anywhere and everywhere then use your brains and the map, slip past the pirates take alternate routes and run the blockades, it add an element of risk to the game when travelling which makes those who rely purley on the auto pilot to navigate the games biggest russian roulette players.
Pirating is as good a profession as any other, It's not as if you can say that travelling through emprie space at the risk of losing you ship to police, or being chased down by mega corps at every turn is a bonus. It's just another aspect of the game that people will play, and not always griefing.
Those that say pirates are just griefers spoiling the game for others really need to pull their heads out there arses. These people are the true carebears of the game.

Eve does not have such a thing as pvp there is either 5 vs 1 or 10 vs 5 there is no 1 on one to me that is cowerdly, to have 1 person against one in a system, and then the person logs, until 6 of his pirate friends show up, that is wrong. This game is begining to disapoint me, i like the fact that there r pirates and pirate haters this makes it interesting but the game is geared for pirates so everyone should just be one or quit the game.....if my spelling is bad it is because i have consumed large amount of alcohol tonight

For the longest time i ignored this thread because i just thought it was more useless griping. But after it wouldn't go away i finally decided to read it. And i gotta say, despite the fact that it is the flagbearer of counterproductivity, it is one of the most entertaining threads i have read in this forum.
I'd like to send a noteworthy out to Caelian, slothe, MaiLina, and Xanif. Everyone of your posts was priceless. It is players like you that give credit to this game just by the mere fact that you are willing to pay 12 bucks a month and change to play it. My hat's off to you and thanks for making my day a little brighter.
