1) Have you ever flown a megathron?
2) Have you ever fitted a megathron for pvp?
3) Have you ever fitted a megathron for pvp with blasters?
4) Are you going to use your vindicator for pvp?
5) If you answered no to the first 3 questions. Escrow me your vindicator right away.

Core X-Type MWD (might be Gist X-type, can't remember, i'm at work and haven't actually adjusted the fitting for aaages)
Domi Web
Domination Warp Disruptor
2 x Cap recharger II
3 x SS Dmg Mod
3 x SS Hardeners
1 x Drac's LAR
{/e-peen moment}
Basically, you need at least faction modules to fit it propperly. Drac's rep is an expensive (and slightly pointless) luxury - a Core X lrg rep and a Corpum a-type medium is a more efficient tank.
The SS dmg mods and hardeners are really the key components IMHO because they save you a massive amount of CPU.
note : I have max fitting skills including Adv Weaps V. This fitting is very tight.

Well I have flown the Vindicator now and then, even into battle...
I Would go with the biggest blasters you can fit, and then focus on defense... some ppl might disagree and tell u to fit electrons, so you can focus mainly on tank... those ppl have small balls...

So wrong. Why would i use vindicator as focus on damage if i can stick 4 dmg mods on thron and all difference is huh... less than for 1 1600mm plate hp. At least not every f*** will run away as soon as he spots you. All you need then is to drop repairer and stick plate on. Most ships won't live long enough for repairer to make difference, especially in gang.
Oh, and Fi T'zeh... i liked your old setup more.

Ok mate here is what you do. U take that vindicator of yours and u store it into your hanger until you have around lets say 3 bil isk. Then u buy the faction reps and EANM's scrams webs nos injector jammer ect. Dont forget the t2 neutrons and dmg ctrl and youll be good. DO NOT! fly that into pvp unless u have faction gear for it.

I've never tried to fit one but if I were, I'd load up Wave of Mutilation 2 and squint at Farjung's mods.

Personally my setup is
7 Neutron II (with Void) 1 Med Nos II
1x Vizan's Injector 1x domi dis 1x domi web 1x gist x-type 100mm mwd 1x hypnos multispec
2x core x-type Large Armor rep 3x corpum A-type EANM 1x Best Dmg ctrl 1x fitting mod
thing costs about 3bil altogether so goodluck buddy.
That setup of yours doesn't fit in million years. And still has dmg of wet paper towel.
Best i came up with, was for navy thron though:
7x ions II, 1x cosmos nosf
gist xtype, disruptor, web, injector(2450pg)
2x core/centus rep, 1x eanm, 1x officer plating, dmg control, 18.6% rcu, 2x officer dmg mods
Insert best thing you can get, cosmos nosf is same as heavy diminishing, uses 1.8k pg only.
What's better than vindicator: full tank with ions = 10% more dps. Sucks coz it doesn't have jammer of doom.

As fun as Blasterthron based ships are to fly and mess around in, sometimes I stop and think, a Dominix with three multispecs will come out on top 9 times out of 10 over pretty much anything. :p So instead of my Vindi setup I give you my Dominix setup:

That thing about rechargers is weird, but works surprisingly well on vindicator :)
I did use passive cap recharge on vindicator for some time, but then i realized that mega with some modifications works just as well but for fraction of its price. (my dream was to stick 2 draclira's rechargers on but when i saw price of 28% recharger i changed my mind swiftly)

The alternative to the Multispec of DoomÖ is a conjunctive magnetronic ECCM. It'll make you a LOT harder to jam, and most jamming ships will run from you once they realize that their jam cycles keep failing...that's assuming, of course, that they have TIME to run before they die.

Use a hynpos. It has the same strength as tech II, but uses less cap per cycle and less CPU.
