Originally by: robacz Heh great story, I doubt anyone sane can believe it, but good read/laugh. Imo its just very stupid way how to remove Cally character and install Kal character, however as someone said, if it was a pure scam, story would be already over. I hope everyone will get their money back, however continuing with EIB(I) business with all what happend seems to be very crazy idea.
On the other hand if we take this whole thing as NOT a scam surely the hard work of all the staff members (yes they are different people OMG not all Cally's alts) and their will to make it suceed would be a good enough reason to keep trying...
That and to proove Currin wrong after all the **** he has thrown at them...
I'm still waiting for Cally to get back (get out ) just to give a big FU to CT. Now that would be a fun thread to be in..
My opinion on EIB is close to Bermag's posted above, so I dont think it was/is pure scam as Currin claimed. But how this business can ever continue as public bank? After all what was said, after EMFI audit fiasco, after this Kal/Cally person charade? How can anyone ever trust them again? The way how Kal posts alone is imho good enough reason to stay away from them.
Either way, it seems they dont need public money anymore, so I guess there is no problem (as long as they pay everyone who is willing to quit). In my eyes, creditibility of EIB is below zero, not becouse of Currin or other sceptics, but ONLY becouse of Cally and his serie of mistakes and lies.

Do you have any idea how much the bank is worth without public money? No you don't but I do.
Without public money the rate at which we can generate more income is lowered but all profits are profits regardless.
We only actually make in the region of 3b isk per 50b public money after interest and other costs have been paid per month.
50b bank money makes us almost 10b per month so you can see why I'm not in the slightest bothered about people removing their money. There is only now around 50b public money left in the bank from almost 350b 2 months ago.
After all is said and done and we have total accounts withdrawl (should that be the case) and every single investor is paid off the bank will be worth in the region of 200-300b isk of which I will control. This does not include around 200b that remains on Cally.
So all in all you can say this has been a sucessful venture in regards to making isk from nothing.

Hi,
Just quickly coming back to this point...
Your saying above the bank seems to be in good shape..That you don't need the bank personal or corp deposits to keep going, that investors can get their money back..
So no real damage to rep would fall on your main from what....
Who would telling us your main's name jeapodise his workings? I don't understand how this would be so... Your trying to do a good thing here. Helping peeps out etc, getting Cally out of a mess. IS it that your main is an ebil pirate and needs to stay a nasty guy or sommit?
It just puzzles me on why any other aspect of eve play would be adversly effected by revealing a simple character name and doing a wave post after it here.
It is not as if less then 0.25% of the total community actually will read this post.
Best Regards,
Taurequis
p.s Sorry for coming back to the same point. I just feel its unresolved.

TBH screenshots can be faked.
However, if people can be bothered to look back over some of the old posts involving Kal/Cally even the most skeptical out there will soon realise that Cally and Kal are indeed the same person. Even the hostility and insults spouted by Kal strike a remarkable similarity to Cally's when she went on that power trip and posted about how she was going to "win eve".
It makes perfect sense too if you think about it. Cally has been totally discredited and no longer holds any trust from any sane person and thus has become expendable. So how convienient it is that this Kal character can come along with a clean slate, pick up EIB where Cally left it and seemingly have access to almost everything and take charge in such a dictorial way.
But don't worry. Since Kal is really Cally it won't be long before she starts to dig herself into another little hole, no doubt starts reeling off one lame excuses after another, and before you know it we'll be reading about Kal's run of extreme bad luck and fantastic fairy stories.
Keep watching these threads. Its going to happen, I promise

Urg,
Looks like Mung has a point there Kal.
I think you mentioned earlier you are using Cally's account, is that right cos you may be in trouble with the GM's then? Or if your Cally you will be ok...
Either way I think you might be in a touch more difficult to sort stuff out then you originally planned.
Mung's put you in a difficult position alright...
Either admit you are using Cally's accounts and face a ban (EVE Jail). or Admit you are Cally and are not in a real Jail (get the fire retardant suit out now).

This has all been fascinating and interesting, but I have started to worry about the whole EIB story (or if not this incident maybe some other) might escalate into something worse.
Eve is just a game but some people might take it to serious and beside that IS is worth real money as well. IGE is currently selling 1 billion ISK for $170. 500 billion ISK is a lot of real money (assuming it can be easily sold though). When real money get involved, well things might turn real bad. People have been hurt or even killed for a lot less than that...
I love that almost everything is allowed in Eve and that scamming is part of the game. But it might get out of control and I have started to feel that CCP should step in before something bad really happens (and I don't talk about players loosing some ISK).

I will confirm the character in question has been accessed by myself.
Here are the particulars of that account.
* The account holds 1 character. * The account was created with isk from the bank via a gametime code. * The registered owner of the account is of an ingame corporation 100% under the EIB control. * The email registered is one that can be used by directors through the EIB database.
All other particulars mean this account is owned by an ingame entity and not a real life person. Any EIB director with sufficient rights can access this account due to the nature of its ownership. Nothing in the EULA has prevented us from doing this nor is it a breach of those same EULA guidelines.

That's actually one of the main problems. We don't know that much; most of the information we've got is from what you have claimed.
EMFI was given some inadequate proof, but once he wanted to dig deeper, he was shut out.

It might have been the point in the beginning..but what it is now? Why indeed EIB keeps fighting the battle; what goals there are left to achieve? Will we have the finale in this season?

Quote: Sharing an account (or a character) with another person is against the EVE-Online End User License Agreement (EULA). See section 2A, paragraph 3.
If a corporation purchases a character, then the character will (obviously) need to go to a person who is a member of that corporation. And according to the current EULA, only that person may use the character. It is not possible to "share" a character for a corporation, as this would involve various people logging into an account and sharing account details (another breach of the EULA). There are numerous reasons why account sharing is not permitted, many of which are abuse related.
Kristo - if you would like additional confirmation, please file a petition ingame with your question and one of the members of the GM team will get back to you.

I think you should petition the GM's to put a freeze on that account ASAP before Kal D'vogh / Cally empties it of all its assets.
Its a clear breach of EULA rules what they're doing so you stand a good chance of getting your stuff back.

The character was not purchased it was created.
That situation there was in regards to a corporation purchasing the character and then transfering it to an account owned by a real life entity.
A comment from a forum moderator does not make it law. He works on the information he is given an interprets it best he can.
The EULA is a binding contract, and although it may appear the EULA has been broken, we have created the account and usage of it that are within EULA guidelines. The only entity accessing the account is the EIB. The only owner of the account is the EIB.
There is nothing that says an ingame corporation cannot own an account. Character maybe, but not account.
Your wasting your time.
Because the EULA does not define specificly entities that can own, use, or establish an account, the user is therefore responsible for making his/her own judgement in this case.
This character I am using now is infact an EIB bot. His only purpose is to be part of the EIB working machine and therefore is the EIB - the owner of the account in question.
