ThatĘs right! A miner II Unlimited BP is on sale on eBay. I think this is Disgusting . If I did 250+ agent missions I would not go for a $150 pay off. Come on man, how poor are you. You could probably sell the BP in-game; make 500 mill of it, then make more money selling the 100 mill 5 times on eBay. Your worthless man.
I'm assuming the person who is selling this is either leaving the game or doesn't even know what to do with it. I hope CCP finds the log where a miner II BP was traded to somebody for nothing and then they both get banned.
Here is the proof: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3052468782&category=3606

Read the seller's feedback and check out his prior sales. Eve has been wery wery good to him.

First, the auction has just started, and the price is likely to go a lot higher.
Especially thanks to your advertising post here, a lot more people are likely to notice it and bid now. Good job advertising your ebay sale. |

Wow! i din't look at his other auctions. He has made well over $1000 dollars off his BPC sales. I think he owes a chunk of that to CCP.

Don't get me wrong but didn't they just bann a lot of people for doing this very thing. I mean hey congratulations on getting a Miner II BP but at the same time this is just stupid. This will probably go for 300 or 400 dollars and some poor sap is actually going to pay for that.

I hope the person who buys it PAYS, and then gets banned.
Then the seller gets banned and sued.
I hate Ebayers.

Didn't someone set up an op in Mexico paying slave-wages to folks killing stuff on Everquest they selling the rewards on Ebay? Or is that just a MMOG urban legend? I can just see a dimly-lit room in the Indian sub-continent: 'Mine faster! More Scordite! More!'*

Except it violates the EULA and pollutes the in-game economy.

How the heck can someone "dupe" an item that resides on CCP's servers?

I always find it interesting that the people who get most upset about the ebay thing are the ones who are always looking at it and then running to tell. Some people have time, some people have money. Sure it's fair, it's as fair as anything in life ever is. Oh yeah I doubt they get banned this game barely has enough people as it is.

Someone inside CCP who have access to EVE server can make unique and rare items in game (they are just 0 and 1 basically) and then make an account and sell them to people and make some extra cash. "Speaker of Matar" |

If CCP has any business sense at all they realize that taking a hardline stance and banning cheaters will attract more players than it will eliminate.
Many people searching for a new game will consider the existence of "cheaters" as a big turn off and might look elsewhere. If they see news tickers about people being kicked out of the game for duping, exploiting, and Ebaying - surprise new players to replace the *******s who get booted!

Ebayers **** me off, although I disagree that it ruins the game.
So long as SOMEONE does the in-game work to get an item, it doesn't make much of a difference who eventually possesses it.
Just very distasteful to sell on ebay, VERY distasteful (as in if I knew who bought a blueprint I would boycott his products).

Ah - twas a sad day when subtle hints are to no avail...
Main thing I have against eBay is the persistent ruddy threads "somebody" insists on throwing up about it every week as if they've uncovered who shot JR.
Its a fact and facet of modern gaming, get over it.

Wild.
After doing a little research, it looks like isk is very weak against the dollar. Isk trades at around $1.50/million isk yet folks are spending $10 per Miner II. Stupid buyers!
Also, my Stabber is worth $5.55. Sure, everyone supports saving Einstein's brain, but when you put it in the body of a Great White Shark, suddenly you've "gone too far". |

Gonna have to disagree with ya here. All it takes is a couple of bored judges and some lawyers looking for pro bono work for a bit of publicity ('Do Cybergoods have real value?', tonight on Dateline!) and CCP can cut their own throats with legal fees. I would estimate at the most Eve brings in $1.2mil a year (very generous estimate), I seriously doubt such a small business could accept any kind of court case without quickly going belly up. Do you want to stop the ebay guy? It's really quite simple. Go make a dummy account on ebay, and start bidding on the item, and keep bidding higher and until no one bids anymore. Then don't pay for it. I highly doubt the seller would/could enforce any legal action given the dubious nature of the legality of his transaction in the first given CCP's EULA.

That's why they'd go for a european court not dabbling in fantastic numbers and having a utterly corrupt legal system.
Coming down hard on the cheaters of the rest of the world that would abide by any such ruling by that court would make it less resource consuming to single out american users.

Did someone just overlook CCP banning about 50 accounts the other week and numberous eBay cheaters being closed down overnight in a wonderfully co-ordinated sting as a result? ... suspiciously about the time this trader stopped trading actively also?
(byebye subtlty)
Can we say "Why do Harvesters cost more now?" and "How come there is megacyte again?"
X many people having all their acounts perma-banned against CC details names and addies is pretty hard core.
What else ya want them to do... send round a pack of rabid dobbermans?

Morkt, my post was in response to the poster who said CCP wouldn't ban people because there weren't enough players in the game as is - not an attack on CCP's dealings with cheaters and Ebayers.
Calm down.
