if by "absolutely steamrolled" you mean "noobtrain half of the game to the North and still crash and burn in the end", by all means, go ahead... Burning down BOB, Kenny and IT was fun though.

I miss FREGE, have hardly had more fun shooting an alliance then when they lived in pure blind.
QUOTE CCP Dolan and the EVE Online development team:-áThe battle was relatively even for some time with CFC and Russian forces holding moderate lead at first and only have a slight lead in Titan kills. Then came a turning point in the battle. Manfred Sideous, the initial Fleet Commander for PL/N3, handed over command to the CEO of Northern Coalition., Vince Draken

Love this thread. Anyone remember the warp to 0 bookmark packages we would shell out for?
Old BRUCE Rep and FC here (Remember when we tried that whole political democracy thing?). One of the most memorable times (among many) was when MC DD'ed us in Syndication when we had hundreds of BS's on the way to take Fountain. At the time (early 07' I think) it was the most damage ever done by an AoE DD in the game.
Lots of nostalgia here.
Also, to a post before, when people are complaining about scanning and reinforcement....lol. |

I remember copying them for hours because we had to 'share' our set because we were poor, so you had to set them to copy then go away for 3 hours. Then CCP introduced a thing in a patch where you could only copy 5 bookmarks at a time so then it took hours of shift clicking to get it done.
Xelas, Bruce, Rise and old CVA were good opponents. Bob were all mouth, I remember their pets doing 90% of the heavy lifting. |

That basically means that we deemed you low threat enough that we didn't need to get involved very often. Otherwise, your recollection is wrong. It wasn't like BoB was full of carebears hiding behind the skirts of allies... |

I believe your answer is really about leadership and being able to look at the big picture. You have the large Alliances with an infrastructure already established. The GOOD smaller well run alliances will have to fold into the larger ones in order to survive.
To me the exciting part of the game is to watch the old established alliances without DECLARED Coalitions intimidate small alliances that belong to small coalitions. |
