Edited by: LUGAL MOP''N''GLO on 15/08/2006 16:50:19 This is for my other char. This ship is NOT a solopwn mobile, it is meant to be used as a tackler in group pvp. In scrims with corp this ship really owns up.
All in all this setup ran me about 15ml. 3 medium nos 3 200mm Autocannons II's + Barrage S (what can I say, the other char is minmatar best gunnery skills are for AC's and they don't use cap.)-- Yes they are underpowered for the ship, but no cap = dead no matter how much damage you're doing.
10mn MWD Webber 7.5 Scram
2x Medium Armor Repairer II 2x Energized Adaptive 1x Energized Thermal 1x Cap Relay
In Scrims with Corp:
I tackled and utterly slaughtered a Prophecy the other day by getting under his T2 lasers. He couldn't even hit me just hit orbit at 500m start to head out, then hit approach again then hit orbit, approach and rinse/repeat. He couldn't hit me worth a damn. About 2 minutes passed, he was out of cap and my AC's were ripping him up at that point.
So please evo forums, Pimp my maller!
As you post, remember that this is a niche ship. Don't rate it as anything but a tackler. If you want to tell me situations where I would get owned in this setup that pertain to a tackling situation go ahead plz!

BWAHAHAHAH ya. That was the setup when I was running pulse lasers. I was thinking of putting another adaptive there or just going for the WCS. I don't know, when I get home I'm going to see if I can fit a lil' plate on there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Win a Cynabal for 10ml!!! |

Those would be there to fund the cap to run 2 repper II's.

Edited by: Vathar on 15/08/2006 17:44:02 Well, tackling BS with this might get you heavily nossed.
I rely more often on a 1600mm plate and huge resists than on 2 med reppers, but whatever floats your boat is fine to me
About that Cap power relay, if you can drop it for a DCU, might be even better than an EANM II since they aren't affected by stacking. _

With no cap injector you won't be able to run those two MARs for long, even supported by 3 nos. Better to fit the biggest plate you can (1600mm ideally) and 1 repper. Over time it'll probably repair more HP than two anyway, because the plate buffers its regeneration time.
It shouldn't affect your tackling ability with an MWD. I run a 1600mm Maller with just an AB and she accelerates fine.

Cool idea. Its true, even with 3 nos the 2 reppers can't run continuously. My thing with the ship is, if they nos me and I have to run both reppers I'm uber screwed. I'll give the plate a roll tonight. Thanks.
By the way, the bolded in your quote. What exactly to you mean by the plate buffering the regen time? Just... More armor HP giving you a buffer or is there something... err it might just be worded a lil' differently. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Win a Cynabal for 10ml!!! |

I beleive my maller set up went something like this:
HiSlot: 5x Medium Beam Laser II 1x Medium Energy Destabilizer (named)
MedSlot 1x Medium Electrochemical Cap booster 1x X5 web 1x Named scram(beleive a 20km, have to check)
LowSlot 1x Med repper II 2x N-Type Energized Adaptive Nano 1x N-Type Explosive Hardener 1x N-Type Kinetic Hardener 1x 1600mm Plate 1x RCU II
That was roughly the setup, I remember it was a real tight fit(hence all the named stuff, Amarr have crappy CPU). I have not used it in a while because lasers suck, but that gave real good resists and it survived against a t1 blaster domi and another time vs a zealot and two frigs with no worry of the tank dying in the slightest.
Did lose - barely - to a t2ed up rupture, but that is primarily since I hit so weakly with it. And his friend in a prophecy helped finish off my tank =/.

By adding a plate you can absorb more excess damage over time that the repper can't heal (assuming incoming DP/S > repairing HP/S).
By absorbing more excess damage, and so extending the lifetime of your tank, the repper is able to put more cycles in and so repair even more HP. It's like an extra buffering effect from the plate, more motivation to mix a plate with a repper.
