Hello!
Here's the thing. We gonna have a pretty large op, and I'm the one with maxed leadership skills. So I'm bringing a command ship.
I'm not sure which one of them I should get. I'll be running armor links. As far as I know, Damnation's got better tank, but less DPS than absolution right?
Oh, and I'll be on grid during the op, it's not like I'm gonna sit somewhere and just boost the fleet.
Thank you for suggestions guys! |

If you are being links then you want a full tank 4 link Damnation probably.
DPS doesn't matter on a Link CS, you want as much tank as possible. |

^ what he said. Damnation
If you're on grid you want links, tank, and some weapons to wh*re on kill mails just a bit. I'd recommend EM missiles to shoot Falcons and other shield ships. |

With the Damnation you can easily get 400k+ EHP, much more if you sacrifice weapons.. which it seems like you'd like to do. Tbh, I love the Damnation and do actually have weapons on mine -- I've survived so many one-sided engagements with it; Overheating for almost 800k EHP is just hilarious.
I'm not such a fan of the Absolution anymore since they changed the hull.... but it's not bad at all. The difference between the two command ships isn't as pronounced as it was before, for example I've managed to squeeze 380k EHP out of my absolution, whilst still dealing around 300 dps. If you wanted just boosts, again you could get more EHP from it.
In the end, I'd fly whichever one you like the look of more. The differences between the two don't make THAT much difference anymore. Everything's Air Droppable at least once. |

If you have logi with you in fleet you better go for a full rack of links (3x armor, 3x inform). you're tank drops to 160k ehp, but from experience I know that information links are pretty handy when you run an ahac fleet. |

May want to thing about cap maintenace also. On grid boosters are just begging for neuts. If you're the only command ship on grid.... you get neuted. Thing about a cap booster or having logi energy transfer support. |

At 160k EHP with a BC sig your going to get vollied relatively easy. |
