advanced drone interfacing:
Allows operation of drone control units. 1 extra drone control unit per level.
Is this ingame?
And is the bonus correct?
Up to 10 drones again like the old days?

If you can't read, yes. It does mean 10 drones then. [insert rolleyes icons]

Actually you can have more than 10 drones.
Corect me if I am wrong but the DRONE CONTROL UNIT is a low slot module.
Every DRONE CONTROL UNIT allows for the control of one extra drone.
Howwever they are limited to CARRIERS ONLY.
The Thanatos has 6 low slots - so it can therfore use 6 DRONE CONTROL UNITS and six extra drones. 11 in total.
I am however - not sure that it can fit six DRONE CONTROL UNITS with its PG and CPU.
I assume that the Mothership class carriers can have even more.
But once again. DRONE CONTROL UNITS are limited to carriers. You can not fit them to a Vexor or Imicus :p

[Edit: I just looke closer at the Thanatos bonus: "Can deploy 1 additional Fighter per level
200% bonus to Fighter control range" thsi means it can deploy 21 drones in total with six DRONE CONTROL UNITS fitted]

What are you smoking these days? It's highslot, and even then it's 5 drones from the skills "Drones" and then 5 from the "Carrier bonus" then, 5 from the "Drone control units". A Total of 15 maximum on a Carrier, Motherships have a maximum of 25.

Sorry again? The bonus and Drone control units affect any of the drones you may deploy from your dronebay on the Carrier/Motherships.
You can release 15 normal drones, fighters or whatever you may hold in your dronebay. It's a bonus affecting 'drone controllable' with a nice name.
Carrier 5, Advanced Drone interfacing 5, 5 Drone Control units fitted in highslots of a Thanatos, again = 15 DRONES YOU MAY SEND OUT, FIGHTERS, ANY KIND.

On a mothership you could use 26 fighters, if you trained carrier to level 5. See, a mothership has 6 high slots :)

cept that you can only fit 1 of the modules per level of adv drone interfacing.
max lvl5, max amount of dcu 5, 10 drones max if you train a rank8 skill to 5
- It is much more efficient to talk to yourself in person than via the chat system.

This is perhaps the most stupid discussion ever to dawn on the human race. I propose that the Dev's makes the description of the Advanced Drone Interfacing skill as such:

Geez, I must be amazing to see the difference between a mothership and a carrier is a Highslot.
But, here's the problem of reading and actually thinking about it. Allows operation of drone control units. 1 extra drone
If CCP invented some kind of magical way to train this skill to level 6, yes it would probably mean 26 drones.
Extra highslot? Doesn't matter, you can't fit 6 Drone Control Units.

Serriously though, this keeps me wondering. EVE is more or less a game for the more intelligent part of the community. Why the hell are people having such a hard time understanding this skill (the description makes perfect sense) ?
