was a nice read, it confirmed many of my thoughts about the other side in the 5/RA war and the LV/Coalition VS RA war.
A very nice read indeed.
Leading a megacorp isnt easy, and it never will be. The problem in it self with Copia in my humble opinion, albeit based on your writings here is one fundamental flaw. You divided the corp into a industrial and PVP group. This almost without exceptions cause rifts and have been the biggest downfall of corps and alliances.
It all starts out nice and dandy till the **** hits the fan. Thats when you run into problem, when both sides in the corp feel that the other side isnt pulling their weight. The industrialists feel the fighters arent contributing to the economy of the corp and that they are running off doing their own thing leaving them behind.
The combat pilots on the other hand feel that they have to babysit the miners and carebears. Then tension start to build up, mostly due to conflicts of interest. If you want a well oiled war machine like the BoB corps, Shinra and M. corp for instance is that you need a clear defined goal that everyone in the corp can work to achieve.
you have no clear lines between the miners and the combat pilots. The combat pilots contribute to the moneymaking process and the miners learn how to fight. This causes the corp to be mainly PVP oriented but thats what it takes to succeed in 0.0 nowadays. In reality you do not at that point have a industrial wing and a combat wing, you only have a corp. And that is the way to go.
Of course you have people that are more industry oriented then the rest and if they are willing to put some more hours in, then you got a winner of wars. People like that, deserve all the love and respect they can get because in effect they keep the wheels turning.
In my final point I would just like to say that there is no need for a balance, because you shouldnt have two things to balance. To succeed you need to act as one, and I think thats where Copia failed, if you want to put it bluntly.
I say this with the utmost respect for you and the rest of the old Copia people, since you were a great bunch to fight
