you must be doing this on a budget (obviously) you prolly just better off keeping that 4-5 hundred quid and just upgrade your existing rig cos you wont get much for that type of price. unless you really wanna splurge a laptop in that price range will prolly last you a year at most and the FPS will without a dougbt be hiddious ! you will not get the full benefit of eve if you set your bench mark so low .
if your considering gaming on a laptop then there`s only one real solution IMO ..its the alienware laptops in which im on the verge of ordering as im in the same predicament as you ...my budget this time round is -ú1700 for the laptop ive am in the process of ordering . ive pimped it a tad to squeeze out a little bit longevity so it should do me 3/4 years (with care)
the total monthly repayment is -ú65 per month over 2 years .... there are obviously downsides (arnt there allways )
its bloody heavy ... it appears expensive (yes I agree) .... but that's the price you pay ...but it SHOULD last me at least 3 years of heavy gaming plus other stuff .
but its shiney shiney and will score bragging rights at geek fests if you go to such things ...which I do .
plus side ..its portable !!! everywhere I go ...it can go with me ... none of this having to rely on hotel rooms for shite tv and stuff |

I'm an American here, so no idea what the conversion is to USD, but you can get a laptop that will play eve... barley to ok with $500. But as mentioned, that $500 could get you a nice board, AMD processor, Ram, and a video card for your desktop with no issues.
To play eve well on a laptop you need a dedicated graphics chip with ram. But if you turn everything to low... almost any laptop can handle eve.

hence the reason why I have pimped mine ive sacrificed HDD space down from 1 terabyte to 500 gigs but upgraded the graphics card for longevity for gaming ...I have 2 portable 1 terabyte hhd`s for any additional space that I need ..and I never keep any sensitive data on my portable machines wether it be rigs or laptops ...for obvious reasons ... an i5 chips set will run eve more than adequately but modern day games will chew the hell out of graphics cards so it quid pro quo as far as im concerned
set you self a budget and only spend what you can afford ... but remember do your research take your time deliberating any try and keep as close to your intended budget as possible ..else it will come back and bite you in the arse when the bill comes in
try future proofing as much as you can afford to because at the end of the day the brand new machine you take away from the shop today ...is out of date before you get it home |
