I tried loggin on, and i couldn't get through authenticating, even though i typed in me pass 4 times, rebooted me computer and now i have an unable to connect to port
Anybody else having this problem?

Naturally, this had to happen right as many of us were trying to get in to change skills, so now we're stuck with nothing training whatsoever...

kinda blows as i was drinkin an amp energy drink for the 3 hours mining op i was gonna do...so now i have found my self wired and no EVE..what shall i do till 4am??

great i just spent a good sum of isk before the server crashed (on an expensive item) , hopefully it won't be lost =S. but i should be ok because the petition system is so fast.

This is quickly becoming the most unreliable game I have ever played. The support is ridiculous and with the constant increase in player count it will just get worse. The online player count record just keeps falling and the lag record keeps getting broke with it. I started playing a long time ago with a group of friends and I am the only one left for this exact reason. Every one of them enjoyed the hell out of the game but got to frustrated with CCP and quit. Nothing like submitting a petition and getting an Evemail a month later that you should cancel the petition unless it is really important, LOL. You have got to be kidding me. Nothing like a major CTD problem that has been going on for months for tons of users and the only info about it is to confirm they are aware of the problem. I have a brand new top of the line laptop that plays everything at max settings without a problem but won't run Eve without CTD's constantly. Maybe the new patch tomorrow will actually accomplish something this time. At least CCP is consistent.

What they should do is anyone who wanted to learn a skill that say is 1 month to learn, or vise versa doesnt matter how long, but acctually just lvl that skill right UP :P lol..that would be nice

What I find funny, is that on all online MMO's, all the players of that game will moan and cry, shake their fists, and what have you when the server or servers (or whatever they're called on the other types of games) go down. Whenever there is a good update they apply that enchances their play time, or they get perks, or whatever good things come, those exact same people will praise said gaming company for the good work they do, how awesome the game is, and how great the service is.
How about, just shutting up, wait for the server or what have you come back up, and then go in and do whatever is you do. It's just a game, albeit most people that play mmo's usually treat it as if it's their life. Take the game away or playing time and the wolverine in all people comes out, and they spew ridiculous and stupid statements.
This game is fun, and yes it takes real time to train skills. However, IT'S A GAME, get over it. Yes you pay 15 or so dollars a month, or you get game cards, or you pay whatever payment plan you pay. It's a friggin game people, there are worst things in this world. Not being able to play a game will not kill you, you won't starve to death because you can't play, your health isn't in jeopardy because you can't play.
Just get over it, watch tv, play with your kids, boff your wife or husband (good lord they might need it ;) ).

i wouldn't go as far as to complain about eve...I love this game...always have and always will....i usually give CCP alot of credit...i have had many an 8 hour session of EVE without a hitch...but tonight, i felt like butchin a bit

Dude... We pay to play... PAY to play... That means we are fully entitled to moan and groan if they still cant get stuff to be stable after three years or at the very least get a human response to a petition within 24 hours (and yes I've quit EvE before for this reason alone).
Ow and besides us EU peepz pay eur15,- p/m which is around $20,- making it the most expansive mmorpg out there.

225 seconds to server startup. This incident could've been worse, I suppose: it could've been the repeated crashes of last Saturday. Now -that- was annoying, as my computer doesn't particularly like the crashes.
I saw a suggestion elsewhere, though, pertaining to CCP possibly wanting to scale down the "let's get more people involved" drumbeat. I agree with the sentiment that was expressed there: fix the bugs, then worry about marketing even more of your game. (Believe me, the word-of-mouth concept is not dead. )

I just love it when a person wants to throw in thier .02$ in. well guess what. . . here's mine.
Is it too much to ask for stability? Yes it's a game, but it's a game that we pay monthly for, which for me comes to $194.35 that i have given to CCP. Now let me ask you this, when the power goes out in your house, do u just blow it off, or do u call the power company. Lets say the power goes off in your house at least once a month, or because of your town is rapidly expanding, there are weekly brown-outs. How would u feel? Lets try something a lil less life threatening. . . What if your cable went out on a monthly basis, for sometimes as little as 15 minutes, and as long as 3 hours? would you just sit there and let it go by, or would you call someone?? preferably the peeps in charge, that's who u call, right? Now lets say you call the company in charge, and they talk to you, like you did in your above quote. . . How would u feel. bottom line people may take this game Way to seriously(i'm probally one of them) but how about letting them vent in here. It's safe and CCP(if they wana "test the pulse") can see(in incognito) what peeps think or feel.

I've never done any math on it, nor have I ever played another MMORPG, but most of the time when I play Eve it just works, and I play a lot.
