Lost an uncompleted level 4 courrier mission. It just dissapeared--still had until the 27th to complete. And I have 2 new offers from agents that refuse to display in the journal. However, the third agent offer I have does display.

Windows Home XP Patch install crashed after nearng completion game wouldnt respond after that.
Reinstalling now if that doesn't work I will wonder why things weren't tested further!

I advise downloading the new client if you have problems patching. This seemed to solve things

1. The Max Targeting Range listing on the fitting screen overlaps the word range and the range.
2. Sorting items by quantity turns up some odd results, odd and random so far as I can tell.
3. Loosing overview settings after each patch reminds me of loosing the stars after iTunes patches, annoying but not killer.
4. Show assets is a cool feature but only shows one station per system.
On the plus side everything seems smoother and faster now.....is it the code? fewer people logged in? who knows?
good stuff so far, should stabalize out in a week or so

Im unable to connect to the server at all. Whenever I start EVE, it immediately tells me "Status: unknown" in german: "Status: unbekannt". That is both for Tranquility and Testserver.
upgraded from Win2000 SP2 to Win2000SP4 and did all possible kinds of tricks and tweaks and could not get it to find the server.
Btw, I bought EVE before it was released in germany and only did that because I feared there might be german texts. Now my interface is german >.<

Since the patch, i cant move my just made ships from my
ship assembly arrays at our POS to the ship maintanance
array. It gives me the message: You cant place this ship
in here, since it needs to be assembled.
Before the patch, i could just drag them in, and the ship
maintanance array assembled them for me. |

I also have the 'server status: unknown' problem.
When i reinstalled the old version it can see the server online, the new version wont.
Comew on CCP, you kept us waiting long enough, atleast get us all online!

please check windows firewall and any other firewall as they have been blocking Eve after the patch due to alterations in the program

I turned the firewall completely off, rebooted and it still did not work. It simply seems that the client either has a wrong ServerURL entry or isnŠt trying to connect at all.

After patching, the login screen crashes to desktop. I've reboot, uninstalled/reinstalled and re-autopatched. All drivers up to date, I reformatted two weeks ago.

I've found how to get around the 'server status: unkown'
With your firewall you need to reset EVE to 'premitted' or whatever right? But its not just the eve.exe that you need to do that with. You have to set ExeFile.exe to allowed as well. This fixed it for me. ExeFile.exe can be found in C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin
Only took 2 hours for me to find out...

Can reproduce this easily though I wonder if it is hardware related (however this has never happened to me before the patch!)
Using ATI 9600xt,
Whenever I am about to dock to a station - my graphic card looses signal I get a black screen with the screen starting to blink like if there no signal coming (i.e. computer is shut down) - though the power is still on.
This has happaned 5times in a row now whenever I try to dock.
Steps to reproduce:
Undock
Dock (computer hangs just when it says "being towed in")
Restart comp
Login to eve and youre inside the station
Undock.

Channel MOTDs don't display newlines correctly, but newlines are displayed correctly in the "Channel Configuration" window.

This is something I just noticed, I don't know if anyone else has this problem.
When in space, after killing a rat, and you rename the can, it will not update on the overview until you leave the belt and come back, or hit tab 2x to hide and re-open the side overview panel.

I can confirm that the patch does work fine on XP Pro, but its not working on XP Media Center. I do not own a XP Home machine so I am unable to test this OS. The connection issues is probbaly due to encription missing with Media Center but is presnet in Home and Pro versions however until more people state exactly what they are usuing it could still be something else.
I am running Win XP Pro, sp2. Tryed to edit my post but kept comeing up with error messages, just to add to this list :-/
If I lose training time, wonder if I will get some kind of reimbursment....
....I have doubts....

You can turn off the Warning Message if you hit escape and look at the first page on the left side. Its one of the lower 4 Checkboxs. This won't fix the error but at least you won't get spammed anymore

You guys have it lucky if your only getting the error every 5 mins. I am getting it every few seconds. I thought it might be sound card related so disabled it and still getting the exceptions.

Setting a default "Warp to" range isn't picked up on the drop-down menu when right-clicking in space.
It will still display warp at 15km, but the overview warp button does pick up the default distance change.
