Tranquility will have an extended downtime tomorrow, 25 August, running from 1000 to 1200 GMT. The additional downtime will be used to deploy some server-side fixes needed after Tuesday's Dragon code branch deployment.
No changes or patches are being made to the EVE client during tomorrow's maintenance period.

Any chance that the issue with losing overview settings will be resolved? I've not logged on my pvp account since the patch to try to avoid losing the mass of overview settings I have.

I agree. What's the deal with overview settings getting blown away every other patch and when are you going to stop doing it? Prediction: This question gets ignored because they don't really care about overview settings and how much of a huge pain it is for their paying customers to set them all back up again... grrrr

Alright, I know the overview settings bug is annoying, but honestly, it takes 5 minutes to sort that out. I redid all 14 of my settings. The fact that people aren't logging in because of it is a bit crazy, imo.

What will be fixed? everything?
Hate to say this but aren't most of the known issues testable with just a few players? These bug shouldn't exist.
anyway keep up the good work.. what worked after the patch worked well.

Overview settings are saved client-side, the update is being made to the server-side of the game, so I am being led to believe overview settings will not be wiped tomorrow.

This does not answer the question as to why they were wiped in the first place or whether or not they will be restored. Please don't dodge the issue.

Hi Kieron, yea I would also like to know what fixes are being applied. In particular, is the issue with a queue being looked at? And thanks for the heads up on the DT.

Chances are all of your overview settings are already cleared (whether you log in or not), as the patch apparently erased the stored settings.

Granted he didn't answer the question he asked.. but...
Since he specified that those setting are stored CLIENT side, logic dictates that those settings were blown away when you applied the patch yesterday, and nothing is gonna bring them back now. ____________________________________________________________________ Wrayth - "These are not the carebears you are looking for." If the overview settings are held client side, then one can safely say that if you upgrade from 3913 -> 4557, your overview settings will go unless you can find whereabouts they are stored, copy them, then replace them again after you upgrade.
Being held client side means that CCP has no record of them, therefor will be unable to bring them back.

Why the bloody ******* **** is the cloak thing listed in known issues?
You better not break cloakes again in this update. Finally one thing (out of many) that has been broken for 2 years is fixed and it's called an issue?

I don't have the answers to all the questions in the thread, but I'll answer as best as I can.
Overview settings: It is my understanding the overview settings are stored client-side and the code update did not recognize the pre-patch settings. The Devs are aware of this and looking into how to resolve this. I do not know if the pre-patch settings are going to be restored or if they are gone.
Tomorrow's changes: No changes to game play are being made with this update. The server-side changes deal with the internal server interface, such as GM access to the billing system.
Game fixes: We are looking at Tuesday, 29 August for a patch to the client. More information will be available in the future.

Thx for the extra info You'd be supprised how much we like to know whats going on. I know its "just a game" but sometimes the players feel lost and confused when some change/bug hits and we're like wtf.
The more informed we are the better it is for us
Thx again and good luck with fixing the server side issues.

Bad news, or good news depending on your viewpoint. The extended downtime I announced is not being deployed tomorrow. The patch did not perform well during testing, so we are going to test further and deploy after the weekend.
