G'day MF,
Omri, you stated that you are frustrated with trying to find suitable targets to engage and who in turn will respond with a stand up fight.
Might I suggest, if you have 80 members and all you guys are looking to have more fun or leave EVE, perhaps split your corp in two. Why? Well, then you could arrange to have large frigate wars! Wings of 40 on 40, all there to have fun and a fight. No warping away of victims, countless encouters, various loadout tests.
Do it in 0.0 space around big roid fields to mix in the added element of NPC rats who will attack all of you indiscriminately.
Just a suggestion to liven things up and keep you and you fellow flyboys interested in staying with our mistress EVE.
Cheers!

Theres actually an article on killer frigates in this months pc gamer in the uk which is a quiet amusing read, one of the writers for pc gamer appears to be in mercenary frigates. Good luck to them I say at least they are adding a comic touch to Eve and wiping off some smug BS owners smiles.

this is a very good suggestion and i thank you for it, but.......... organized events such as you suggest dont have the same element of surprise/conflict or meaning/sense of purpose. right now there is nothing to fight over in the game.nada, zilch.zip, goose egg. zero........rocks and npcs pirates are everywhere if a force shows up to attack, you just warp away and find another rock/npcp. the only way pvp has meaning is if thier is something to fight over. or a sense of accomplishment.
the reason people logout/dock at stations or warp away to that bookmark in the middle of nowhere. is they have no need to fight to keep anything.

I read that article in PC Gamer about a week ago. I got the impression that the writer wasn't from Merc Frigates because he was talking about using Caldari Merlins almost exclusively. It read something along the lines of his CEO had turned most of his military wing over to all frigate formations, the premise being that 4-5 guys in properly coordinated frigates are far more effective... which we have proved anyway. Apparently he simply couldn't justify the cost of replacing battleships and even cruisers when he could outfit his entire military setup with frigates at a fraction of the cost and keep his guys in ships and equipment indefinately... which we have also proved.
Regards
Ska
