On the night of 19/08/06 Anza gave Omist a gift, a wondrous gift indeed.
On the night of 19/08/06 Anza decided enough was enough and killed the RA carrier in NZPK.
How long does it take to kill an RA Carrier ? Well we will come to that question a little later.
After a couple of weeks on intel gathering and planning, sending in frigs to be killed to gain intel on ammo etc we were ready. I activated a cynosural field in the system of NZPK to bring in, a Moros Dreadnought (which we did not need nor use in the end) one day prior to my expected launch on the Carrier. A friendly Carrier was also on stand by.
I had my Capital ships in place, I had formulated a plan that would catch RA's Gallente Carrier and now it was time to let my fellow Anza PvP directors in on the plan, less than 24 hours prior to the operation. At all times I wanted things to be kept under wraps, so I never spoke to anyone, secrecy was my objective.
I informed them of what I was up to, I revealed my attack plan and they agreed. GrantW made a few tweaks and all was set.
The following day, several hours before downtime on the night of the operation a mail went out to the Corp. A call up for a PvP Operation. In the mail I told them where to meet, at what time and how to fit out the ship and ship types and what ammo to use. A deliberate ruse was engaged as even then I did not want my Corp members to know what was in lie for them. At this time I revealed to the remainder of the Anza Directors as to what we were truly up to.
As always the Anza members jumped on board for some fun and activity. A patrol up the Hodrold Pipe was in store for them as they were led to believe.
30 minutes before downtime all members participating in the PvP Operation were on Vent and then I gave them the bombshell.
ôGuys, we have a change of plans, we will be taking out the RA carrier tonight in NZPK and his mates if they decide to helpö
The guys were unanimous in the new target, this was something they eagerly waited for and were very much appreciative of the new target.
We then told them who were doing what and how it would all unfold. We gave them time lines to work towards etc and after the mission brief everyone understood the task and what there objective was within this operation.
So how long does it take to kill a RA Carrier with a committed bunch of Anza guys

And then there was no more Carrier, it went pop. The pod insta warped as he used the time honored RA tactic known as ôLogofskiöàààà.

As Omist has four other Alliance and to show them that something can be achieved and docking up is not needed.
As we get sick and tired of forming gangs on our own and perhaps now they may X up.

Because not all of EVE has been playing for 2-3 years and have had this experience. There is new players in the game and this is their first experience with cap ships maybe in pvp. I remember lots of thread when the first carriers and dreads went pop upon introduction.
Why is it when anybody posts anything about their acomplishments someone from BOB has to ask stupid questions like this one??????
Oh I forgot you are uber and nobody can compare.

The last time I was in Omist with SLIM, the locals called us cowards for attacking a Raven, in a belt, in a station system, with fifteen other people in local. Even when screaming for local, none of the other 6 (at least) battleships in system would come to assist him. Their reasoning? Two elite cruisers are more powerful than anything they had.
Oh, and this was after we ran a 10 ship + interdictor gatecamp, without instas.

I'm not sure if I'd be happy if everyone bragged about their first caracal kill on this forum. I'm sure that when the first BS went down years ago there was a thread or two about it, but now, who care ?
Carriers are going down in a daily basis in eve nowadays, especialy since they're used by mission / complexe farmers a lot, ganking someone farming is really not something you want to brag about.

This is the one and ONLY ANZA, that was booted from Tribal Souls for fighting with Bob, and left with less than half it's members.
Of the guys who took the carrier down, more than half are very new players (recruited since that day in April), learning the ropes of pvp & pve. RA have plagued Omist for god knows how long, taking out the residents and owning the complex, making their wallets fat.
I am proud of the ANZA members who went in and rid Omist of the leeches and freed the complex up. Maybe carriers go down everyday, but this is the first one for for a dedicated bunch of new players, and hey, the ANZAC spirit still lives and will not die.

Its the old Anza that got booted from Tribal Souls becuase on Anzac day (Australian National Holiday for rememberence of fallen soldiers) that had fun with BoB.
We were decimated from the split and only now are getting back on our feet. Half the guys on the op were noobs and did us proud in true Aussie style, with no capital ships being used.
Gank yeah, fun yeah, good for our Corp moral DAMN YEAH.

I'd like to hear more details about what exactly your plan and tactics were tho, did you catch him when he warped to the complex beacon ? Did you smartbomb the pod ?  Use any interdictors ? What ship did anza lose ?

My thoughts exactly... I have been in EvE a long time. I have never seen such a abundance of crap posts about 1 alliance cept in the days of Jade and the NVA.
If you need to brag about a freighter kill on an open forum, your doing yourself no justice. Then again I am reading this garbage and responding to it.....

Nah Saran decided to stay in PS with the corp that was formed that night, 'The Anzac's' (stupid name i know, sounding like ours  ) they then folded soon after and are now called Dragons of Redemption.
I think she is still committing suicide in here favourite little ship though the mighty Incursus.
