Just an idea. I think there should be a mechanic skill that would increase your cargo hold by a given percentage, lets say, 5, 7.5, or 10% per skill level, with a caviat that it doesnt include frieghters or capital ships. I think this would help out in a lot of different areas, carrying missiles, hauling ore, my noctis.

Nah haulers are good where they are, you already have the options for expanded cargoholds and also expander rigs :) |

Better yet CCP should design that ship that can do everything you know plenty of firepower and cap and grid and tank and also lots of cargo and also make it go 500m/s... |

Actually, while I do agree with general sentiment of "we don't need a skill to bonus -everything- I wanted to take exception with above statement. Cargomaster / Loadmaster is a very well paid, difficult specialization within many logistics operations, especially ones dealing with air/water transportation.
Ability to both utilize full capacity of the cargo hold and set up cargo so all the contents are well protected without disrupting vessel's stability and center of gravity are major challenges, and make the difference between your cargo making it to port, or ship capsizing.

Lets take dps for example. You have a gun. lets say a large rail gun, you have two skill books dedicated to that gun and several supporting skills. Large hybrid turret, large rail gun specialization, and then all the supporting gunnery skills. Add in magstabs in the lows, a collission accelerater in the rigs, and an implant or two, and you have 4 different items impacting your gun. If i want more than low slot modules and rigs for cargo capacity, im not asking for the world, i just want it to inch closer to all the other items that affect guns.
And to the guy who said frieghters could carry frieghters. I said in the original post it wouldnt affect ships designed to have huge cargo halls like freightors.
and yes, i shoulda put this into features and ideas, perhaps a dev can move it for me

Here are two suggestions when posting ideas. And i'm honestly trying to help, so take heed.
Don't ever ever post ideas on GD. Any and all ideas you post on GD will be shot down in a ball of holy fire with snarky comments and dismissive banter by bored posters that rarely take more than 3 seconds reading the original post you make (As exemplified by the dude that talked about freighters carrying freighters). The only exception to this rule is for those posters who already have their opinions respected by the GD crowd. Yeah.. life is unfair, deal with it.
Don't ever post ideas on weekends. Devs don't work on weekends.

There is one. In fact, there are four of them as far as I know. They increase your Cargo Capacity and Max Velocity by 5% per rank. |
