No lol. Process for windows run and exefile.exe but it's exefile.exe which take 98-99% of cpu after 2-3 jumps. And it's after this patch. Before no lag and I can connect 3-4 account without problems.

Sounds like u r being hit by the memory leak issue thing...I had that problem sometimes before the patch...I couldn't even run 1 accaount before i got lagged out...CPU usage was constantly up at 100%...Suddenly one day i logged on it was gone... To be or not to be!!! ERHM...I can only say i'm none! |

You know all games take 100% of your CPU with rare exceptions, right?
100% CPU has nothing to do with your lag problems. In fact, if you didn't have 100% CPU, I would think something was wrong.

virtual memory at 5GB ( CPU with it at 30% without that virtual memory implemented 85%)
Solution add virtual memory

Yes, the CPU is often at 100% but it's normal ! Game = Loop. But it's not the problem. You can charge your CPU at 100% without a true charge ... Some game take 100% but you can launch 2-3 game without lag.
Here, at each gate the CPU charge is increased and all LAG (2 fps on the game) and windows lag too. The game take ALL ressources. RAM, it's not the problem !!! I have about 500 mb free.
If someone have a true solution, give me please :)
PS : Before the patch, NO PROBLEM ... I can connect without problem 3-4 accounts may be a 5th :P PS2 : I'm not alone with this problem. It's a bug of this patch ! PS3 : If I stay in the system and take acceleration gate, I don't have this lag. I lost fps when I jump in another system !

With new client I'm down to 80-85% CPU (down from 100% on old) and my FPS has doubled while running 2 clients.
My RAM usage used to be roughly 850 Mb per client, now using less than 900 Mb running 2 clinets.
The new client is much easier to read for me now also at 1680X1024. But is blurry on my laptop at 1280X768. Also a few graphic errors such as a short white line on laptop only.
AMD FX-55, NVIDIA 6800GT, 2 Gb RAM, Windows XP Pro x64

No, I'm getting the same issue. I'm a Network Engineer, and I know how to look after a PC etc so before anyone jumps in with 'It might be spyware etc'..trust me..it aint.
Ever since the last major update I've had problems with the Eve Client. I only use my Windows box for playing games on atm, nothing had changed, I'd not updated any other games / software other than the Eve Client, and as I use my Linux box for browsing etc there's no real way for me to get my PC clogged with crap. Suddenly, my CPU is running at 100% when in Eve, and if I alt-tab out, everything has that 'slow-motion'effect, laggy text when typing, and generally poor performance. In game, my client sometimes locks, and FPS etc when even a few rats are around is awful.
I just tested, and I get the same problems *as soon as I open teh client* i.e before I even log in. close teh Eve client, everythings perfect again.
I'm going to try a full clean rebuild, and re-install of Eve.
I'll let you know if it helps.

Do you have vertical sync enabled or not? Also while this is going on can you hit the caps lock key and see any noticible lag before the led toggles?

Well, no, I don't have v-sync enabled in game, but then the problem begins as soon as the client login is displayed..does v-sync get initialised at this stage?
Annoyingly, the problem now doesn't seem to start straight away, more getting worse as time goes on during me playing...I'm not sure why it did it straight away earlier before I even logged in
I haven't as yet logged in to reproduce the error, so I'll do another check when it starts playing up. For something to get worse as you play though, without me opening up any other software in the meantime, would suggest some kind of memory leak, or so I would think.
Meh, My PC's overdue a rebuild anyway..I've a second PC I can run Eve on too, so I'll do some testing and see what I can find out.

this does also happen to me on my office pc (intel 3ghz, 1gb ram, radeon x300). i¦m sure its the gfx in my case. and for me it looks like the new client eats more ressources than the old one.

Dont know if it will help but i once had similar problem. Just one day the game was laggy as hell.
I did a lot of stuff but what fixed it in the end was removeing some large files i had on my computer. I only had 16 gig free and when i removed files so i had (at least) 20% free the lag disapeared.
