Why?
Cause its easy.You dont lose anything other than time (time-sink is popular in every mmo, especially in eve tbh)
Cause EVERY thing you do is ''guidelined''.
Cause it doesnt matter how SMART you play, but how MUCH you play. (hence all those comments about grind grind grind in WoW)
In EvE it doesnt matter how MUCH you play ''xp-wise''. Cause you train offline and every once and then you can log in and change the skill..
What difference will you and me have if we start an alt on EvE at the same date and you play 24/7 and i play 1/7 ?
None. Only isk-difference..And isk-making in eve is easy.(after some certain point -i.e. being capable of doing solo lvl4 missions, or having access to 0.0 space- )

Given time ANYONE can do ANYTHING anything in WoW.. Why? Cause thats how the game is designed to be.It's designed to be easy, with every move guided, you CANT do anything wrong cause there is NOTHING wrong (regarding char creation/training).All that is good for keeping people excited and saying : ZOMG MY CHAR ROX WOOT WOOT WOOT ! I ROX! Well, soz to say, but the rest 1.999.999 subscribers roxor like you aswell.. Well, there is no challenge in that ;) Some people like having some difficulty to actually achieve something, some challenge. Some dont..Nothing wrong in that really.
Doesnt matter if you play smart, but if you play ALOT.
Everyone can get level 60 with all the uber items and all the uber swords/maces/axes etc but NOT cause they play smart..But cause they play ALOT (compared to someone who is not 60 i.e.)
And yes, i have played WoW (hence i can HAVE an opinion about the game), yes i have a char who is level 60, yes i have those uber items etc. yes, i have regretted my time wasting all those hours.
