I <3 my current sig to death, but in the spirit of a new school semester, the end of grinding sec up from -9.9 to -2 (soon), and another 3 months of my life going down the drain, its time for a new sig.
Rules and guidelines, just like last time:
This contest will go as long as I want it to, until I find something I <3. I will give feedback along the way so if you're close, you can improve your design for a better chance to win - I reserve the right to not choose any sigs, in which case no one will win, but quite frankly that's pretty damn unlikely.
What I want in the sig: it doesn't matter, be creative as long as it follows the sig requirements in the OOP rules. It doesn't have to be picture, ship, or corp name or a combination thereof - things I do that might give you a place to start with:
- Army ROTC cadet
- Engineering student
- Fan of dance, techno, trance, electronic music in general
- Fan of modern architecture and glass buildings, modernist in style
- Pirate ingame, CEO of Tharsis Security
- Favorite ships are Amarr ones, notably intys, AFs, and the Armageddon, though if you throw a random ship up there, I might like it
- Anime fan, especially Eva, GITS (though DS has the market cornered on that one), Nadesico, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, Trigun, Slayers, and Gundam SEED
- From Texas, namely the Dallas-Fort Worth area
- American obviously, though use of the flag would kinda violate the sig rules ^^
- High school, college, and pro-football (i.e. not soccer) fan
- I like snow, rain, and space 
- Obsessed with Mars
Lots of this is not EVE-related, so if you use it as inspiration you'll have to tie it into my name or make it related to EVE, so good luck. Ask any questions you need to - and, as for cash goes, 10m to the person who makes the best sig, with a possible 5m for a runner up should it be a close call between two hawt sigs.

This is meant for more newbish sig designers tbh - I'm not expecting freaking uber here, just a nice sig I can use for a few months and add to the collection.

@ PKlavins(1) - I like the lighting and background, nice job all around.
@ mausmask - incorporates a lot of things I like, its a bit busy and hard to make out though. I can't tell what's going on in the left side, its kinda neat to see Sak on a pilot on an Eva, so you get some points for fitting all that together.
@ PKlavins(2) - LOL, I like sigs with a sense of humor. Nice text, and got a good reaction out of me.
@ Nova Z - love the use of blue and white together, nice text as well; can't find anything bad to say about this one.
The bolded one is kinda winning atm, so keep the entries coming, and remember there will be a runner up as well .

Nice to hear from another Army ROTC cadet, what batallion are you in? I'm a part of the Rolling Thunder Batallion.
As for your sig, I'll give it a try.
Do you want something completely new? Because I can create another sig like what you're using now, but diffrent theme, BG, and character on the right.
It'll be like your sig in layout, but be different in a way too.

Mohawk Battalion in NY, where my college is at - as for the sig, its completely up to you, I don't like to tell people what I exactly want, just give them some ideas and guidelines to follow. That way I don't muck up the end result with my interference .

more humour from me...this was a quickie, if you like the idea i can elaborate it (nicer background etc.)
edit: btw the thing on the right is supposed to be a moon harvester, the only pic i could find was the 64x64 pixel one used ingame...so if anyone has screenies it'd be appreciated greatly

I was thinking of adding a Army logo on the right, but wasn't sure if you'd like it there.
I can still change the color, text, and add maybe a picture or two if needed.

I kinda like Loup Blanc's approach, nice picture and it all blends well together; only thing against that one is that I could swear I've seen that woman before, and I don't want to be usurping another person's sig.
I'll give a full update in the morning after chow, need sleep atm (first day of the semester  ).

@ Brastagi - talk about some skill, way to fuse everything together in a nice neat package  .
@ Loup Blanc (1) - my favorite so far, I like the idea of a sig using an alternative picture of a woman that looks like Sakura, like that picture or say on my current sig.
Knoppaz - clean and simple .
Mirage Kisaragi - nice lighting, but a bit simple.
@ Loup Blanc (2) - another nice one, I like the picture from (1) better but all being said I think you have the right idea.
To recap, the ones that have been striking me the best have been ones that try and use either a woman in real life that looks like Sakura as a base for the sig, or something slightly that's a bit CGI. Try going for a kind of dark background, with the Sakura-lookalike and whatever else you're thinking of adding on the foreground. I have a feeling today might be the lucky day, so please keep the entries coming in, and thanks again for all those that have submitted work - even if I don't choose yours, I'm grateful for your entries nonetheless.
