Celero Incendium Fist of the Goat	Posted - 2006.08.28 03:46:00 - [1] Fist of the Goat Statement: With the internal announcement of the Imperium Alliance high command decision to join forces with the Goonswarm and Red-Alliance in the Great Wildlands / Curse regions, the directors of the member corp Shadows of the Wraiths have left the corp and formed the new corp Fist of the Goat. We will be going back to our roots as a small, invite-only, close-knit, combat-oriented corp. Our reason for this is simple - Imperium has decided to join forces with the most despicable group of pilots in the known universe and our conscience will not allow us to take part in such a ghastly arrangement. To the members of the Shadows of the Wraiths that wish to remain with Imperium Alliance: you will be allowed to do so, full control of the corp will be handed over to you within the next 24-48 hours. We will consider you all as friends for as long as you may have us. To the leaders of the Imperium Alliance - Karma's a *****. --ci

And also the last time I payed attention ERA was fighting RA in the cache... somehow the joined forses of the Goonswarm and RA makes no sence to me. Anyone care to clarify that one for me?

If you guys could see the breakdown in command that is going on within Imperium Alliance at the moment, you'd realize that this is simply a move to try and cover their ass. They say it's because they want to group with RA and GS to take down BoB, but in reality Xirtam just realized that his precious mining ops that he's been conducting in Fountain while BoB has been hanging out in Syndicate are now in jeopardy with your return. This is a move to get farther away from BoB, not to try and rebuild the alliance. --ci

And while we could sit here and argue about the relevance of whether or not this is a "big" move or even a good move for the alliance, I'd rather take this for what it was - the announcement of the formation of a new corporation. Either wish us luck or wish us failure and perhaps stop worrying about the reason for the formation of the corp. Stop trying to read too much into it. --ci

Our first week in the alliance we caused close to a billion isk in damage to BoB pilots in the area (rough estimate of clones / implants / ship values / cargo values). (* Side note - We realize this was just a drop in the bucket to BoB, no we don't think we're hardcore because of it ) Amazingly enough, after our third night in the alliance we started getting **ed at on alliance TS because we weren't helping out with the alliance MINING OP in Fountain (led by Xirt). We endured through this for a few more weeks, constantly being asked on TS "Hey why aren't you guys in Hop to help defend the mining op from Fatballs and Miz?". Pretty soon we realize that BoB has pretty much pulled up stakes from Delve and is in Syndicate, so we start to pull up towards Hop to look for targets. All we found were people that wanted to gank us (we were mostly all outlaws at the time) and then jump back into +.5 space. So we figured okay, we need to get our Sec Status up, we found a few good systems away from the mining op to do this in. A few of our newer members who didn't have the outlaw status and felt like helping the alliance went to the mining ops. The rest of us were still getting ***ed at on the alliance TS about not joining the mining or protecting the haulers, so pretty soon we filtered back to our own TS. This caused some contention amongst you all, especialy Milano. I'm not sure why though, we explained ourselves to Xirt and he seemed to be pretty much okay with that. I guess that wasn't good enough though, as we then started to endure endless amounts of abuse on the Alliance channel in game and on the Alliance forums. The other day, while discussing something with Xirt on the alliance TS, he tells me to be sure I come to a meeting on TS the next day. I told him I had my daughter's birthday party at that time but I'd make sure someone from my corp was there. That was when the bombshell about the move and the new allies is dropped. As soon as it was reported back to the remaining core members of the Wraiths, we all decided we had had enough. We weren't going to lower ourselves to fighting alongside goonswarm. But some of our newer members didn't mind the idea, they had no idea who Goonswarm really were or about the despicable things they had said and done. So we came up with a solution. Those of us that had a problem with the direction IMP was taking would leave and form our own new corp, and those that didn't would stick around. Thus was born The Fist of the Goat. I would respond directly to some of the points made, but honestly, what's the point? You guys have your views on the matter, we have ours.
