Hello, EVE. Despite our low profile on the forums (no new banners as Hugh has been sick) August was a very busy month for the MC. So, hereĘs a look back at what weĘve been up to the past few weeks.
Goons
The flavor of the month at the start of August was the Goons. They decided to declare war on just about everyone but us. Well, it didnĘt take long for someone to come along and ask us to join in the slaughter and on the 3rd of August, the MC declared war on the Goons and began active operations against them in Empire and Syndicate. Blah blah blah, lots of explosions followed and so on and so forth. Even with half the galaxy shooting at them, we still managed to bag a lot of the little buggers over nineteen days:
Ship Type / Kills / Losses
Assault Frigate 5 / 9 Battlecruiser 9 / 0 Battleship 11 / 1 Capsule 273 / 4 Covert Ops Frigate 2 / 1 Cruiser 94 / 6 Destroyer 16 / 1 Elite Battlecruiser 2 / 2 Elite Cruiser 1 / 0 Elite Industrial 1 / 0 Frigate 181 / 2 Heavy Assault Cruisers 0 / 3 Industrial 7 /0 Interceptor 6 / 2 Noobie Ship 66 / 0 Shuttle 60 / 0 Support Cruisers 1 / 0
Total Kills: 735 Total Losses: 32
It seems fitting that our only BS loss was to a traditional Goon 'swarm' of 12 Rifters, 5 Punishers, 3 Merlins, an Incursus and a Griffin.
Supremacy / Imperium
As the Goons seemed to melt into the ether, we received word that Supremacy had decided to ransom a rather well established industrial corp. The MC had been scheduled to provide them an escort to a large freighter operation and now there was a Supremacy war declaration threatening that. We responded with a war dec of our own against Supremacy in order to ensure the safe completion of our mission through the Empire-portion of the journey. All went well and things might have ended there but the Supremacy CEO decided to up the stakes by contacting our client and demanding that they pay the sum of five billion ISK for the war to end. Obviously, our client had better things to spend his money on, likeą ummmą us.
We put our location agents to work and it seemed that Supremacy was either based out of Aridia these days or just liked to hang out there. For some reason, Supremacy made the war dec against them mutual. w000t nĘ stuff! So, we got ready to shift down south and then the most peculiar thing happened: Supremacy joined Imperium, taking their war dec on our client with them. The slow shift of assets in what weĘd assumed would be a limited game of hide and seek quickly turned into a full scale mobilization as we all cheered at the chance to mix it up again with an old foe.
Things kicked off in Karen on Sunday the 13th where Farjung finally lost his fabled Vindicator in an epic fight on the Hophib gate. The loss was mourned but it just got everyone all the more fired up. Imperium sent out several fleets to meet us on more than one occasion and it was a hell of a lot of fun, with quite a few smaller engagements as well.
Somewhere in the middle of all this, Supremacy decided theyĘd had enough and left Imperium and Aridia all together. The word we got was that Supremacy had some sort of agreement with ImperiumĘs leadership that went sour and that, for whatever reason, Xirtam wanted this war. Regardless, Supremacy was no longer at war with our clientą but Imperium was. Our path was clear.

Around the middle of last week, Imperium seemed to finally realize that their war dec against us was mutual. That was ended and so was the war on our client. The MC continued active operations against Imperium until our CONCORD-sanctioned war ended this past Saturday night. The end result looked like this:
Ship Type / Kills / Losses
Assault Frigate 12 / 3 Battlecruiser 40 / 0 Battleship 65 / 9 Bomber 1 / 0 Capsule 166 / 4 Covert Ops Frigate 6 / 1 Cruiser 72 / 5 Destroyer 4 / 0 Elite Battlecruiser 14 / 0 Elite Cruiser 4 / 3 Elite Destroyer 1 / 0 Elite Industrial 1 / 0 Frigate 47 / 2 Heavy Assault Cruisers 2 / 2 Industrial 18 / 0 Interceptor 16 / 17 Mining Barge 1 / 0 Noobie Ship 10 / 0 Shuttle 42 / 0
Total Kills: 522 Total Losses: 46
The MC would like to take our hats off to Xirt and his boys for keeping local chat clean, and keeping it interesting and fun. I'm sure we'll dance again sometime.
Vertigo Coalition
Every now and then, something happens that just confuses the hell out of you. This was one of those things. VC has been -10 to the MC for a long time already, so we just saw them as targets of opportunity. Still, Karen and HopHib have sentry guns on the gates and not many of us felt like taking a sec hit just to pop the VC roaming about the area. Then, a few days into our war with Imperium, VC solved our problems by declaring war on us.
What followed was just about the most one-sided slaughter I've ever seen against another alliance-sized organization:
Ship Type / Kills / Losses
Assault Frigate 3 / 1 Battlecruiser 9 / 0 Battleship 19 / 1 Bomber 2 / 0 Capsule 83 / 0 Cruiser 32 / 0 Destroyer 1 / 0 Elite Cruiser 1 / 1 Freighter 1 / 0 Frigate 44 / 0 Heavy Assault Cruisers 2 / 1 Industrial 7 / 0 Interceptor 4 / 2 Mining Barge 1 / 0 Noobie Ship 7 / 0 Shuttle 23 / 0
Total Kills: 239 Total Losses: 6
I have no idea what VC were thinking, but getting in our way while we were already on the hunt was a very bad idea. To further emphasize this point, as a goodbye present, yesterday the MC moved a small fleet of a dozen cap ships down to HopHib to punch out two Large and one Medium Caldari POS's that were functioning as VC labs and storage facilities.
I've been told that right after the war was declared the current VC executor went AFKą for about a week. This seems to make sense judging from the number of corps that began jumping out of the alliance over the course of the war. Still, there was no smack, just a lot of panic it seemed like. Now it's done.
For the past two weeks, the MC has lived in southern Aridia. We're moving on now and getting ready for the wonders of Kali. I'm not sure if we're shooting something, building something or mining something this weekend. Quite possibly all three. Personally, I'll probably still be fixing the overviews on all of my charactersą *rabble rabble* -

Okay, to save time and seeing as how everyone loves Xirt:
Tempest x 3 Typhoon x 4 Slepnir x 3 Bestower x1 Capsule x7
He also participated in 16 MC kills including seven BS, two of which were faction (Farjung's Vindi and Larsson's CNR).
Let it not be said that the man stays docked or runs from a fight! -

We didn't go afk, we're just less active in what we european like to call prime time. Some of us was fighting alongside imp for the duration of the contract, though, plenty wasn't. For that I'm a bit ashamed, but it doesn't matter anymore. RHN pulled out of VC at the end of the contract. Thanks to imp for beeing good allies, I never was afraid when I participated in an op with them, due to xirt always beeing called primary. Thanks to MC for the (few ?) clashes I participated in, and to Farjung for proving how effective 3xMegathron+7x425mm's+Spike L+Dictor really is.

I got my very own Xirtam corpse! *digs through hangars and finds a second* \o/
Good fun and respect to IMP/VC. Not many people will bring the fight to the MC, but you guys did, no matter how many ships Xirt lost =P . I am really starting to suspect that Xirt has the Slepnir BPO and DREAMWORKS has somehow managed to wrangle a Cynabal BPO (we whacked at least 3 of them).
I got a bit of a chuckle when I went to the KB and saw Far still getting bbqer. Haxx!

Was a fun war and props to IMP for actually bringing us fights, was hoping to get some good fraps out of this however due to running 2 accounts at once it was abit too difficult did get some good footage of the cap fleet though.
PS Tomski that sigs gonna get ganked by a mod pretty soon

The result vs Goon are very good..Not easy to find people that 80% of the Eve community already look for so props for finishing it off like that..
Well done job again by MC..Keep it up
And btw, loosing faction BS aint a crime or sign of weakness..It is a demonstration of what you are willing to do for your employer..

All in all, it was a bit odd (I was often heard mumbling "what were they thinking" in my sleep during the last few weeks), but it was also a helluva lot of fun. We actually got a lot of decent fights out of it as they were coming straight at us. Out of all of it, personal favorite moment: taking out a Deimos in two volleys from my Tempest.

And yeah, VC are quite inactive at the moment, and the ones were, just wanted to fight along side IMP legally.
Hehe, i dunno what exactly was happening....or why, but i enjoyed it.
