Seriously! All these trade and courier missions are boring as hell! How about a little more variety, lads? Give us some more hunter-killer missions and try to make them more frequent than one every forty to fifty missions run.
Thanks on behalf of everyone!

I agree.
Thematic combat missions would be cool too, relating the mission to the type of corp. Militaristic corps perhaps might have more combat versus state enemies. Policing type corps might go after more 'pirate' factions.
Like to see also an 'intervention' mission, with a neutral or allied NPC. 'Check on the freighter 'Bonne Homme', which has reported engine troubles, show up and find it under attack. Completion of the mission requires the freighter survive the attack in addition to the retrieval of 'evidence' or what have you.
I'd also like to see, however nasty this is, the occasional 'ambush' mission. Retrieve item X from bookmark X, left by an associate, and get jumped by rivals Z.
Or support a larger military mission. Multiple NPC allies and enemies engaged in a fight on location. Maybe even a retrieval of an allie's 'flight box' object while combat's ongoing - Just survive.
Salvage missions where the broken remnants of the missing corp ship you're investigating are haunted by cluster of the missing 'rogue drones'.

No, I dont want kill missions. I do missions to get away from the killing, otherwise Id be farming NPCs. But I understand others do, so the point is that some corps should offer alot of killing missions, while other corps should not, to cater to different players tastes. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Please!
Why is everyone so selfish? 1 kill mission for every 150 is way more than even the most seasoned pilot can handle.
Don't get too greedy or those 1,000 isk pirates might just get ya.

I agree the missions are as boring as hell, then again so is mining.
This game as a whole is totaly boring thats why in about 5 minutes I will be trashing my account.
This business of doing 20+ jump missions is a joke and all for nothing more than to pick up some wheat. I didn't think it was possible for anyone to have their imagination removed but someone sure did a great job on the devs at Eve.
I'm going to take a small pleasure in knowing that no one will ever use the CD key I have to ever put money in the makers pockets again.
The straw that broke the camels back was yet another 20+ jump mission of bordom and quite frankly I have better things to do than c.rap like that.

Hey Krack. I have never done a mission with more then 10 jumps and I have gotten 8 of implants, have 3 lvl3 agents. Just do not accept those sucky ones. I sometimes decline 2-3 in a row and then bribe my way back into his hearth:)
What gets me are the minerals missions. Sometimes 10 in a row!!! ______

To late for that Account now canceled. I hate that it cost me so much time to realise what a load of rubish this game is, I'll just put it down to experience.
I'm sure I can find something else capable of boring me into a coma for alot less than this game costs me per month.

Why not have some kind of mission types? instead of the "I want work" option have somethign like this: "I want work as a fighter" "I want work as a trader" "I want work as a miner" .....
I mean you could select the mission type you want. As the "get item A from station B to station C" thing is what stops me from doing missions. |

Edited by: Luther Pendragon on 16/10/2003 12:50:07 Yes, thats almost want I meant earlier. Basically we want a choice of types of missions to choose from. We wont be getting a choice from the same agent, but I would like a choice from several agents, ie having a mining agent, combat agent etc...then one can choose what mission one wants to do by choosing the agent. So if you want to work as a fighter, you go to a fighter agent, if you want to work as a trader, you go to the trader agent. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Actually, when they first posted in a patch that agents now looked at your skills I kind of hoped that meant they would take into account whether your character was a heavy combat type of person or a research and dev non fighter sort or a high mining skill person etc. What they really meant wa sthat agents looked at your social skills etc. But for a moment I had high hopes...

It should really be settled from character creation. You do choose the 'schools' and profession you want to be there. Your first agent should be tailored to the profession you chose there. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Join TTi! *waves his hand in your face in the jedi way* |

Edited by: Kalok on 16/10/2003 18:13:46 Maybe its a cool idea for the developers to let the players send in mission idea's. The only thing to do with the well thought out one's is to fill in the locations, and the rewards. Less work for them, player input, more creative missions and something to do for us. They can even make a contest for it. Every time a patch comes out the best rewarded missions are fitted in!

but no...1 mission in to many a fight mission :(
