Hi! My account is a few years old but I have only been playing about 9 months worth of that time. And for the duration of this gametime I have been a carebear, I have never left highsec before. andI want to change that. I have looked at the different options and wormholes seem to interest me the most, but I have no idea where to begin.
Here are my skills http://eveboard.com/pilot/Xanato_Kaso
What would you suggest I do to get started? I have tried to apply to a couple of corps in static wormholes but they determined I was to green to be considered an asset, so I want to get some experience.
If there is someone out there looking to recruit newer players I would also be open to discussing that as well. |

First tip, scanning skills, train them both in game skills and rl skills. Go out scan a crap tonne till it becomes second nature. You will be doing this a lot so it pays off to get good at it.
Second tip, find a corp that lives in lower end wormholes, you will find both sites and fights more suited to your sp level. There are corps out there who look for lower sp pilots, one example is Sudden Buggery if you play us-au tz.
Lastly, before you join a corp ask if you can sit on comms with them for a week. This allows them to get to know you more, and more importantly for you to get to know if these guys are a good match for you. Dont rush and jump in to the first corp you find and end up the only one online most of your play time, or find you don't enjoy the corp's culture
Either way welcome to w-space and good luck in your future endevours |

Your character's skills aren't actually that bad.
One thing you will really need in w-space is a CovOPs frig.(or a T3 with CovOPs cloak, but I would suggest starting with a frig) Since you already have amarr frig 5 I would suggest training for the Anathema. Make sure you can fit a CovertOPs cloaking device! Get the all the astrometric skills to 4. (5 is nice, but not really needed)
Do some reading about the basics of w-space. e.g. here
Now you are ready for w-space. As some suggested it might be easier if you look for a low class corp. |

If you looked closer at my skills you would notice I have Cov Ops lvl 3. I already have an anathema. But I do need to get cloaking to lvl 4 which I am currently training. And I think only 2 of my astro skills are not level 4. I really want lvl 5 for the t2 equipment but mannnnn does it take a long ass time to train those level 5 kills. |

Whoops, my bad.
Yes, the skills for the T2 probing equipment take a really long time to train. They are nice to have, but I wouldn't make them a priority. |

Sisters probes launchers and probes will be of great help, fit a gravimetric rig too and the mid slot scan enhancers (according to skills and you will be pretty maxed in an anethma, L5 astrometrics is certainly not held by all wormholers even those who specialise in it, but there's always the perfectionist who will disagree

Most alliances in c4 and down welcome players without experience of wormhole space, the person is the most important part, the skills can be learned, in time, if you have solid basics as you do.
High power 1x Improved Cloaking Device II 1x Expanded Probe Launcher II Medium power 1x Cap Recharger II 1x 1MN Microwarpdrive II Low power 1x Damage Control II 1x Small Armor Repairer II 1x Reactor Control Unit II Rig Slot 2x Small Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I
That is my probing fit Anathema that I was using for exploration sites.
I should add, I have SoE launchers and probes, as well as the t1 data analyzers.
I can also fly a legion, would that be better since it can like transform into other things by going to a station/orca? |

Why do you have a repper on that anathema fit?
Cloaky Legion is nice if you intend to tackle stuff. If you are only probing an anathema will be sufficient (and faster).
Yes, people use marauders for C4 and C5 combat anoms. It's risky, but good isk/h. There are some techniques to make sure that you notice when someone enters the system, but you might be stuck in bastion and thus can't leave the anom in time. If that happens you'll usually die. (unless the attackers completely underestimate what a paladin can do) |

Pending the size of the hole you need to plug perhaps you should stick some caulk in it.
For extra large holes you can use African style caulk.
