The first thing to realize is there will always be a limit - they store these in a database, and there's always limits on size of any individual field the database can support - additionally, there are caps on the total number of bytes the actual row information can be.
All that being said, while there will be limits, they could look at if those limits could be raised.
A bitter vet trying to start anew.

ofc there are always limits in our real universe, any existing storage device will be full at some point, this is not what the thread is about. Just about lifting unreasonable limits. |

Yes. I was agreeing with you. It's worth asking CCP to look at if those limits that were set several years ago can be raised.

nah this would suck at mutiple points. 1) new PC, all notes gone 2) logged in from different PC, notes not accessible |

Yeah, but you could make this same argument about chat logs. I for one keep extensive chat logs of all my encounters, but I don't expect CCP to store them(even though they almost certainly do). Just put them in my documents, they'll be easy enough to transfer from there. Especially since all you would need to do is throw them in an email or a usb stick.

nah this would suck at mutiple points. 1) new PC, all notes gone 2) logged in from different PC, notes not accessible Add a function to save notes to drive and carry them around with you on a stick, probably the same one to which you tied a balloon. The complementary Load Notes function will ensure you can read your ramblings wherever you may be. |

EvE has notepad?
Save notes locally, the Whinedoze notepad has no appreciable limit in this respect, and keep important ones you absolutely cannot lose in cloud storage.
-1 for further bloating of the database.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
