Certain things are VERY big on the 'no-no' list, and that is probably pretty close to the top in just about every MMO out there. That type of activity is one that can get you banned pretty quickly, and CCP has been very open that they frown very much on isk selling. They DO NOT like people doing it, and people have gone to REAL LIFE JAIL for that kind of thing in other MMO's.
My guess is that he will be denied as quickly as an 8 year old trying to buy drugs from a cop.

Edited by: Siege on 31/08/2006 03:13:08 They do have certain 'filters' in the chats, I have watched another player get muted automatically when it happened. He said a quite nasty racist word, and couldn't use any in-game chats for I think 12 hours. It's possible the software just saw the magic words, and acted without human input.
and yes, I know that all those stories about jail time are probably fake, but it never hurts to put a little fear into those who want to farm and sell. They annoy me. Though I have seen a couple new articles that claim it has happened. Here is one that I did find link

I DID say other mmo's, I didnt say eve. And a bot-hack to me is pretty darn close to a macro-farming program. But hey, if you want to defend isk sellers and try to justify what they do, it's no skin off my back.

And you're going off on some tangent because you hate CCP, I try to defend some of their actions that you don't like, so everything I say is automatically open to attack because I represent an alternate viewpoint from yours. You took a minor closing statement, and made it the whole basis of your arguement. Ok, I was probably wrong on that one piece, but it doesn't change the original question of this post.
The whole point that I was trying to make here is that CCP seriously dislikes the entire concept of selling ISK, as do all MMO companies. Intent in some cases is irrelevent and CCP may not even review the petition in this case if they think the guy might be doing it.
