Hi all, recently I've set up my first PI on 3 planets on a single system, each producing a T2 commodity. My command center skill is currently lvl 3, and just barely enough power to build those T2...
I've read in other PI site that you can build Wetware Mainframe in 3 planets (minimum), that consists of 9x T2. Does that mean each planet need to build a set up for 3 T2, then transport them to whichever planets that still have spare power to manufacture to T3 and finally T4?
My only concern here is the power, as I see that lvl 5 skill only gives 4,000 more power than lvl 3. Is it really enough? Other than command center upgrade, are there any other skills or implants etc to increase its power? |

Research 'factory planets'. You will have some hauling of raw materials to the factory planet.
Only the skill. One was to reduce the need for power is use smaller planets.
Generally the Science and Industry sub-forum will get you more PI answers than New Citizen. |

As you upgrade your Command Center, you gain more PG and CPU per level, and thats the only way to increase them with the max level depending on your Command Center Upgrades skill.
We have this notion of a dedicated manufacturing planet, or Factory Planet as some of the guides call it. Basically, you dont build extractors anymore and just feed/import T2 or T3 mats into silos or launchpads. The raw mats can be sourced from the market, or from your other planets.
Some of us use our accounts' 3 character slots to have a max of 18 planets. These in turn feed the Factory planets so that they will have no downtimes. But man... 18x the number of clicks, lol.
With low/null/wh planets, 2x ECUs can give you alot of raw mats already, so try to finish Command Center Upgrades IV.

Honestly, I started with factory planets because they seemed to generate such big profits. It takes so much more work hauling, I don't think it's really worth it. I get a good profit from just making T2 parts (coolant, mechanical parts, and enriched uranium). I would recommend getting command center upgrades maxed out ASAP though, either way. |

I use factory worlds to make P2 and P3 materials. It is a bit of hauling (about 10 minutes per day per character) but it's really nice to not have to worry about putting 2 ECUs on a planet to make P2, you can usually feed 9-10 basic factories pretty easily in a WH, so that translates to 18-20 P2 factories running 24/7 on the factory world. I don't have much experience with P4 though.
The 4,000 grid might not seem like much but it really is a big difference. That amounts to several more extractor heads or factories and I strongly recommend training up Command Center Upgrades to V. |
